  • Patent number: 6978568
Abstract: A firing mechanism for a firearm having a spring pressed firing pin comprises a sear engagable with the spring pressed firing pin in its cocked position and releasable by the sequential release of a cocking lever and a sear release lever through an abutting contact of a portion of the trigger element with the sear release lever. The initial and final positions of the trigger, as well as the spring bias imparted to the trigger, are readily adjustable, without disassembly. All adjustments of the trigger positions, and the spring force on the trigger, are readily adjustable by screws which are accessible through the between of two horizontally spaced trigger housing plates.

  • Patent number: 6131324
Abstract: A dual stage trigger assembly including a spring loaded hammer, a spring loaded trigger, a disconnect lever, a torsion spring adjustment plate, springs, and user available adjustment screws whereby a sear face of the trigger fully engages a notch in the hammer in cocked position; whereby a user available adjustment screw, without disturbing the assembly, allows a user to adjust a screw in a first end of the disconnect lever to adjust second stage trigger travel to set the length of engagement of the trigger sear with the hammer notch. At this point a contact face of the disconnect lever contacts a tang on the hammer and a user available adjustment screw in a second end of the disconnect lever compressing a spring held in the trigger adjusts trigger pressure needed to complete the second stage trigger pull after the contact face on the disconnect lever contacts the hammer tang.

  • Patent number: 5857280
Abstract: A trigger mechanism for a semiautomatic firearm whereby a spring loaded hammer strut acting through a lever system puts a light pressure to hold a sear in a locked position and whereby recoil after firing causes the sear to return to a locked position before release of firing pressure on a trigger through action of the lever system and a trigger reset system; a trigger pull spring acting to return said trigger reset system to firing position after pressure is released on the trigger.

  • Patent number: 4671005
Abstract: A trigger assembly for firearms which is externally adjustable to change trigger pull forces for both hunting and competition shooting, and which includes safety features for preventing inadvertant discharge. The trigger assembly is particularly adaptable for use with Mauser-type, bolt-action firearms and includes an over-center linkage mechanism which is geometrically adjustable to vary the pull force of the trigger piece. The over-center linkage mechanism includes a rotatable lever operably connected to the trigger piece, and a collapsible block pivotally coupled to the lever. The block and lever are alignable in supporting relation to the striker locking arm, which in turn holds the striker cocked. The relative alignment of the block and lever determines the amount of trigger pull forces required with the linkage mechanism in supporting engagement with the striker lock arm.
