  • Patent number: 8035665
Abstract: Methods of using control data to control a display of an image by a display device include encoding the control data as a line of video data, including the line of encoded control data in a video signal having a number of lines of image video data, transmitting the video signal to the display device, and using the control data to process the video signal and display the image.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 25, 2005
Date of Patent: October 11, 2011
    Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.
    Inventor: Arnold W. Larson
  • Patent number: 7586503
Abstract: A modulator is controlled in accordance with each sub-frame of a frame of image data. An aiming mechanism is physically adjusted to differently aim each sub-frame. Acoustical noise in physically adjusting the aiming mechanism is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20090141800
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for transmitting video streams are described herein. One method of transmitting video streams includes coordinating transmission of intra-frames in a first video stream with transmission of intra-frames in a second video stream. The method further includes transmitting I-frames in the first and second video streams such that the I-frames do not overlap in the first and second video streams.

  • Publication number: 20090040288
Abstract: Various embodiments of a video conference system and method are disclosed.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20080104659
Abstract: Real-time data is transmitted from a transmitter to a receiver. For each frame of the real-time data, portions of the frame are transmitted from the transmitter to the receiver within a time period allocated for transmission of the frame, in order from one or more higher-priority portions of the frame to one or more lower-priority portions of the frame, until the time period allocated for transmission of the frame has expired. The transmitter waits for feedback from the receiver after transmitting each portion of each frame. Not all of the portions of each frame may be transmitted during the time period allocated for transmission of the frame.

  • Publication number: 20080094419
Abstract: A method of displaying an image with a display device includes receiving image data for the image. Sub-frame shifting parameters are identified based on at least one of image characteristics of the image, system status information, and user-defined parameters. A first plurality of sub-frames corresponding to the image data is generated based on the identified sub-frame shifting parameters. The first plurality of sub-frames is displayed at a first plurality of spatially offset sub-frame display positions using the identified shifting parameters, thereby producing a displayed image.

  • Publication number: 20080007501
Abstract: One embodiment of a display system includes a rotational actuator that defines a rotational axis, an image shifter mounted on the rotational actuator for rotation about the rotational axis, the image shifter including an image shifting surface positioned non-perpendicular to the rotational axis, and a light modulator that projects a modulated image to the image shifting surface.

  • Publication number: 20080001977
Abstract: A method of displaying an image with a display device includes receiving image data for the image. A first plurality of sub-frames corresponding to the image data is generated based on a first plurality of spatially offset sub-frame positions. A second plurality of sub-frames is generated based on the first plurality of sub-frames and based on a second plurality of spatially offset sub-frame positions. The second plurality of sub-frames is displayed at the second plurality of spatially offset sub-frame positions.
