    Abstract: A method for controlling and supplying power to at least one electrical consumer that is connectable in a wired, electrically conductive fashion to an energy source is provided. In the method, electrical energy is transferred by an alternating voltage and control information for activating the at least one electrical consumer is transmitted to the electrical consumer by an angle modulation of the alternating voltage used for the power supply. The control information is transmitted in binary form by a frequency modulation, wherein individual binary values are depicted and transmitted by an associated predetermined frequency of the alternating voltage used for the power supply. Each binary value is transmitted by a plurality of oscillations of the alternating voltage.
