Abstract: A light output sticker (10) comprises a flexible transparent substrate arrangement (11). A plurality of light source devices (14) are provided on or in the flexible substrate arrangement (11). A conductor arrangement (12) comprises conductor lines which connect to the light source devices. An adhesive layer (15) and release liner (16) are provided for attaching the sticker to an external substrate. The applied sticker is substantially transparent. The sticker of the invention avoids the need to embed the LEDs in a glass structure during the manufacturing of the glass. Instead, the LEDs are part of the transparent sticker, which can be added to a glass (or other material) substrate after manufacture of both the sticker and the glass (or other) material to which it is to be attached.

Abstract: A method of identifying from a plurality of receivers a receiver which causes a redistribution of content, the method comprising making available a watermarked version of the content to only a subset of the plurality of receivers, determining if the watermarked version is subsequently being distributed, and eliminating one or more receivers from the plurality based on the determination, until the subset comprises only the receiver which causes the redistribution, thereby identifying this receiver. Preferably a binary search algorithm is used. Also a system for distributing content to a plurality of receivers, configured to execute the method.

Abstract: A method of controlling access to a resource using a verifying device uses watermarking device that embeds an authorization code in a signal using watermarking technology. The watermarked signal is then transmitted to a verifying device, e.g. as a television or radio program or as a commercial related to the resource. In the verifying device, the authorization code is extracted from the watermarked signal and an operation to be performed on the resource is authorized in dependence on the extracted authorization code. Preferably the authorization includes permission for executing a program, rendering and/or copying a multimedia object or for activating a cheat function in an electronic game.
