  • Patent number: 5228552
Abstract: In a loading device with a loading platform for receiving mined material, wherein the loading platform is swept over by loading arms and the material is conveyed onto a conveying device connected to the loading platform, the loading arms are designed as arms of a rotatably mounted loading star-wheel, and a plurality of loading star-wheels are arranged over the width of the loading platform.

  • Patent number: 5000306
Abstract: In a chain conveyor (6) for loading devices and/or conveying devices, in which engaging pieces (10) are swivelably linked to a chain (9), noting that the engaging pieces (10) are linked to the chains approximately at their longitudinal center and the chain (9) moves along a path closed in itself, the engaging pieces (10) are at their arms (14) facing the inner side of the orbital path of the chain (9) articulatedly linked to a respective guide rod (15), said guide rod (15) being articulatedly linked with the chain (9) for lagging in direction of movement of the chains. In this case, the chain (9) is preferably guided within a recess or groove (18) of the sliding surface of the engaging pieces (10), said recess or groove corresponding to the orbital path.

  • Patent number: 4998777
Abstract: A coal-cutting machine (1) having an all-round swivelling jib boom (6), on which cutting implements (17) are rotatably supported, and a loading platform (3) comprising a loading platform which can swivel about an axis (4) extending transversely to the longitudinal direction of the machine. The loading platform (3) is angularly, rigidly connected to the swing gear (5) for the swivelling of the jib boom (6) in a horizontal direction and is supported on the machine frame (1) so as to swivel, together with the swing gear (5), about the axis (4) extending transversely to the longitudinal direction of the machine. As a result of this construction which a particularly low overall height is made possible while safely preventing a collision between the jib boom (6) and the loading platform (3).

  • Patent number: 4605119
Abstract: In a drive arrangement for the loading arms (5) of a loading ramp for a heading machine or longwall shearing machine, each loading arm (5) is rotatably supported in off-center position on a rotary disc (7) and extended beyond its axis of rotation (6) by guide arm (10) arranged so as to swivel around a bearing point on one end of a steering lever (11). The heading machine or longwall shearing machine has--for broadening its loading ramp--laterally outwardly swivellable parts (2) having arranged thereon, in a manner preventing angular movement, an arm (14) extending beyond the pivotal axis (4) of the extendible part (2). For automatic adaptation of the removal width of the loading arms (5) to the selected working width of the loading ramp, the other end of the steering lever (11) is hinged to the free end of the arm (14) connected with the outwardly swivellable part (2).

  • Patent number: 4552263
Abstract: The loading ramp (1) of a heading machine or longwall shearing machine has swivelable loading arms by means of which the cut material is removed onto a conveying means. The surface of the loading ramp (1) can be increased by outwardly swivelling of parts (2). The loading arms (5) are driven by using a pivotal point (6) on a rotary disc (7), noting that a further swivel point (12) is provided outwardly of the circle described by a rotary pivotal point (6) on the rotary disc. The loading arm (5) is guided in a shiftable manner at the swivel point (12) and sweeps when driving the rotary disc (7) over a removal area (15, 18) defined by the relative position of the pivotal point (6) and the swivel point (12). The swivel point (12) is connected with the laterally extendable part (2) and is displaced together with the laterally extendable part (2) thus varying the removal area (15, 18).

  • Patent number: 4379594
Abstract: For sinking of shafts, a cutting machine (1) is provided having its cutting arm (3) pivotable around a vertical axis (4) and a horizontal axis (5). The cutting arm (3) carries cutting heads (14) which are rotatable around an axis (15) horizontally arranged and extending perpendicularly relative to the axis of the cutting arm. The shaft is now sunk around its circumference (9) in direction of its axis (10), for which purpose first the uppermost lead of a screw surface is prepared. On this uppermost lead of the screw surface the cutting machine is advanced until the cutting heads (14) contact the shaft wall (9). In the following, a floor cut (19) is made whereupon a further floor cut (20) is made at a lower level. Starting from a corresponding position of the cutting machine surfaces (23, 24) are cut free starting from the shaft wall (9).

  • Patent number: 4188069
Abstract: In a cutting machine having a cutter arm which is mounted at one end for universal pivotal movement and which carries at its free end a cutting tool: a walk-on platform covering at least part of the cutter arm, said platform being box-shaped in cross-section and having a width greater than the width of the cutter arm so as to protrude beyond the sides of the cutter arm and said platform having a generally planar top wall and a bottom wall which conforms to and rests on the exterior surface of the cutter arm; and at least one walk-on plate hinged to the platform at a side edge thereof for swinging movement about an axis which is approximately parallel to the axis of the cutter arm, said plate having a width less than the width of the upper wall of the platform movable from a position in which it lies on the top wall of the platform to an extended position in which it is approximately co-planar with the top wall of the platform.

  • Patent number: 4098539
Abstract: A cutting machine has at each side of a universally pivotable cutter boom a cutting head which is rotatably supported around an axis extending vertically to the longitudinal direction of the cutter boom and which is advanced in direction of its axis when the cutter boom is pivoted. The cutting heads are propelled by a drive unit via a reduction gearing arranged within the cutter boom, the last stage of the reduction gearing being arranged within cutting heads which are hollow.

  • Patent number: 4070063
Abstract: A dividing cutting machine includes a cutter boom pivotable about a horizontal axis, at least one cutter head disposed on the cutter boom, a loader deck hingedly connected to the frame of the dividing cutting machine pivotable about a horizontal axis and provided with movable gathering arms for continuously sweeping the mined material upwardly over the loader deck to conveying means. Stops mounted on the cutter boom and on the loader deck at locations spaced from their respective horizontal pivot axes have a height which precludes physical contact between the cutter boom and the gathering arms in each mutual pivotal position.
