Patent number: 12103747Abstract: Packaging may include a base box and a lid having a tamper-evident seal. The tamper-evident seal may include a paper substrate having a first adhesive portion configured to attach to a side panel of the base box, a second adhesive portion configured to attach to a second side panel of the lid. The first and second adhesive portions may be disposed on opposing sides of the paper substrate, and a tab configured to be accessible on an exterior of a package when the tamper-evident seal is applied may be a part of the paper substrate. When the tab is pulled with sufficient force, the paper substrate tears such that the first adhesive portion and the second adhesive portion remain fixed to the first and second side panels, respectively, while the remainder of the paper substrate tears free so that the packaging may be opened.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 2021Date of Patent: October 1, 2024Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: David Samuel Kimka, Isaac Hayes, Thomas Sang Chun, Avianne Marie Bracamonte Tuano, Jordan D. Patent number: 11345583Abstract: An insert for use with a beverage dispenser includes a diffuser having an upstream end configured to receive the first base fluid, a downstream end with an outlet configured to dispense the first base fluid, and a center bore extending between the upstream end and the downstream end along an axis. A stem is disposed in the center bore of the diffuser and has a first end configured to receive a second base fluid and an opposite second end with an outlet configured to dispense the second base fluid. The outlet of the diffuser is upstream from the outlet of the stem such that the first base fluid dispensed from the outlet of the diffuser mixes with an additive fluid before the second base fluid dispensed from the outlet of the stem mixes with the additive fluid.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2020Date of Patent: May 31, 2022Assignee: Marmon Foodservice Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Arsalan Aslam, Sandesh Aravinda, Kurt Zoellick, Christopher F. Patent number: 11338444Abstract: A device having a platform configured to support the food products, a driving system configured to move the device, and a location detector configured to identify the location of the device within the area. A control system is configured to control the driving system based on the location of the device identified by the location detector, where the control system is configured to move the device along a primary path defined between a starting point and an ending point and to one or more fulfilment positions therebetween. The food products are received on the platform when the device moves to the one or more fulfilment positions.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2020Date of Patent: May 24, 2022Assignee: Marmon Foodservice Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Michael Ostrow, Vincenzo DiFatta, Arsalan Aslam, Michal Augustyniak

Publication number: 20180225625Abstract: An inventory management system includes a scanning system moved by a pulley system to scan a series of inventory locations, such as in a retail display, and determine respective inventory amounts at each inventory location. The scanning system includes a distance sensor that measures the distance to a retail item at the inventory location, and a transmitter that wirelessly transmits the distance measurement. A pulley system moves the scanning system along at least one axis and comprises at least two pulleys, a stationary motor, and a connection line connected to the scanning system. A controller controls the stationary motor to move the scanning system to an aligned position with each inventory location in a series of inventory locations. The inventory management module is configured to determine an inventory amount at each inventory location based on the distance measurement at the respective inventory location.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 6, 2018Publication date: August 9, 2018Applicant: Cornelius, Inc.Inventors: Vincenzo DiFatta, Clayton Knight, Arsalan Aslam, Sandesh Aravinda, Ravi Kumar, Michal Augustyniak
