  • Publication number: 20140184075
Abstract: An outdoor LED lamp assembly includes a light transmissive cover disposed over at least one LED chip of the lamp assembly. A heating element is provided for providing heat to the cover. A sensor may be used to detect cover conditions, such as the accumulation of condensation, ice or snow on the cover, so as to provide electricity to the heating element and heat the cover in order to remove the condensation, ice or snow on the cover.

  • Patent number: 8661660
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an LED lamp assembly includes anodizing at least a portion of a surface of an electrically and thermally conductive base, such as an aluminum or aluminum alloy base, so as to form an electrically insulating coating. The base may form a heat sink or be coupled to a heat sink. The anodized surface is chemically etched and circuit traces that include an LED landing are formed on the etched anodized surface. LEDs are electrically and mechanically attached to the LED landing by way of conductive metallic solder such that heat generated from the LED is transferred efficiently through the solder and LED landing to the base and heat sink through a metal-to-metal contact pathway.

  • Patent number: 7549245
Abstract: An illuminated sign includes a first light source disposed within a frame. A plurality of light guides are spaced apart within the frame and positioned perpendicularly adjacent to the first light source. A first light-permeable panel is disposed adjacent to the light guides and encloses a first side of the frame. A solar panel for generating electricity is associated with the frame and a transformer electrically connects the first light source to the solar panel. A battery is electrically disposed between the solar panel and the transformer; and a timer electrically connects the solar panel and the first light source.

  • Patent number: 7237932
Abstract: A vehicle and trailer lighting system having an elongated track affixed to a vehicle or trailer. The track includes first and second channels. A lamp assembly is connected to the first channel and selectively positioned along the track. The second channel includes a conductive contact disposed therein. A lamp of the lamp assembly includes and electrical connector extending therefrom to physically contact the electrically conductive contact of the track.
