    Abstract: Abrasion resistant polymeric coatings in which the polymer comprise the polymerized product of at least 15% by weight of an epoxy-terminated silane have improved film forming properties without significant loss of abrasion resistance if the epoxy-terminated silane composition is cured in the presence of 0.05 to 5% by weight of a polymeric additive selected from the class of polyvinyl butyral, polyvinyl formal, polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinylchloride, cellulose acetate butyrate, cellulose acetate propionate and ethylcellulose.
