  • Publication number: 20140304894
Abstract: Uniform pants are disclosed. The pants are well suited for all wearers of pants particularly persons in law enforcement, the military, security, construction and the like as well as medical patients and senior citizens who desire easy, convenient, safe, and sanitary access when attending to restroom needs. The pants comprise: (a) a waistband; (b) two leg members extending from the waistband; c) a primary fastener member positioned at a predetermined point beneath the waistband, extending across the rear of the pants to and then within the outer seam of each leg member to a predetermined point, wherein the positioning of the fastener member(s) creates a camber; when open forms a rear (d) drop seat flap; and (e) a secondary fastener member positioned beneath the full length of the primary fastener member to be utilized during a possible impairment of the primary fastener member. Fastener member(s) can consist of a plurality of zippers, hooks, snaps, buttons, and hook and loop fasteners.

  • Publication number: 20070175695
Abstract: A rack and pinion steering gear (10) for a vehicle, wherein the steering gear (10) comprising an input shaft (18) rotatable about a first axis (50) and adapted to provide steering input to the steering gear (10), and a rack (12) laterally displaceable with respect to a steering gear housing (17). A pinion (14) laterally moveable with respect to the housing (17) substantially in a direction of travel of the rack (12) whilst engaged with the rack (12) thereby effecting a change in steering angle ratio. A swing arm (16) rotatable about a second axis (52) fixed with respect to the housing (17), the swing arm (16) having the pinion (14) journalled thereto, and the pinion (14) rotating about a third axis (54) fixed with respect to the swing arm (16). The first axis (50) being with respect to the housing (17).

  • Patent number: 6282750
Abstract: A gear driven dial indicator is used to indicate the door closer size for a door closer having an adjustable closing force. A drive gear is attached to the door closer adjustment screw. In the preferred embodiment, this drive gear engages a ring gear which is formed as part of the dial indicator. As the door closer adjustment screw is turned to change the door closer size, the drive gear turns with the adjustment screw. The drive gear then turns the planetary gear which turns the dial indicator, thereby changing the indicated size of the door closer.

  • Patent number: 5803976
Abstract: In an apparatus for vacuum web coating, an evaporation means has a plurality of separately spaced outlet nozzles through which vapour is conveyed to a deposition zone at the surface of a chilled rotatable drum in a vacuum chamber over which drum the substrate web is advanced by a web transport system. The outlet nozzle arrangement advantageously comprises a plurality of linear slots disposed transversely to the web substrate path to deliver vapour at positions disposed sequentially in the direction of the web substrate advance, the nozzle outlets being disposed on an arcuate surface around, but spaced from, the curved surface of the rotatable drum. The apparatus is particularly suitable for applying thick coatings of material such as metal on paper or plastic films.
