  • Publication number: 20050227215
Abstract: A method and system for knowledge assessment and learning for assessing the true knowledge of a human subject. The invention incorporates non-one dimensional testing techniques to obtain the subject's knowledge and confidence level associated with the knowledge. The invention produces an assessment or test prolific, which includes formative and summative evaluation. The profile is correlated to database of learning materials and presented to the subject for review and/or reeducation of the substantive response thereby ensuring the subject's acquisition of the true knowledge or accurate information. The invention accommodates various test queries without regard to the specific nature of the subject matter on which the test subject is queried. The present invention is adaptable for use in a microprocessor-based stand alone computers, as well as for individual use or distributed in a client-server environment of a communication network.

  • Publication number: 20030037253
Abstract: An improved software application for digital rights management, providing the means to control the interaction between a client's computer/monitor and a remote server on which the present invention and the creative work of an author/inventor reside, is herein disclosed. A key aspect of the present invention is the series of applets that selectively disable certain functions (e.g. “Save File”, “Print File”, “Download File”, “Print Screen”, copy/save to “Clipboard”) contained in most existing browsers. Any attempt to use one of these functions results in, at least, the disabling of the feature and/or the display of an error message. Other features include certain e-commerce functions and encryption of data passed between the remote server and the client machine. In this manner, the information (i.e.

  • Publication number: 20020103792
Abstract: A system and method for cross-matching a query record with a database of registration records. The method begins by compiling a database of registration records each identifying and describing actual characteristics of an entity. Once the registration database is compiled, the database may be queried by inputting a query record describing desired characteristics of an entity. The query record includes a plurality of incremental preference rankings associated with the desired characteristics. Given the registration database and a query record, the cross-matching engine of the present invention will cross-match the actual characteristics with the desired characteristics by assigning a score for each match that is weighted in accordance with the preference ranking. The scores are totaled to prioritize the closest registration records based on the query record. The present method provides a statistical cross-matching system that accurately accounts for user-preferences.
