  • Patent number: 8888741
Abstract: A balloon catheter comprises an outer shaft having a distal end, an inner shaft situated therein to form an annular fluid line and projecting beyond the distal end of the outer shaft, and a balloon which is dilatable under the influence of a fluid introduced through the fluid line under pressure. At its proximal end the balloon is attached in a fluid-tight manner to the distal end region of the outer shaft at a first attachment zone, and at its distal end is attached in a fluid-tight manner to the distal end region of the inner shaft at a second attachment zone. Between the attachment zones, in the undilated state the balloon is placed in longitudinal folds along its length. The balloon, at least at its distal end, has an untapered design with a thin wall thickness (d) which is essentially unchanged over the length of the balloon, and the longitudinal folds extend into the attachment zone at that location.

  • Patent number: 4942295
Abstract: A disk is connected with a hub in an angle measurement apparatus and a scanning arrangement is provided for scanning a graduation on the disk, the hub is not supported in the scanning arrangement, but is connected with an externally supported drive shaft of a drive unit, the angle measurement apparatus is preassembled in such a way by the manufacturer of the measuring instrument, that the recipient can place it on the drive shaft of the drive unit and fasten it there without having to perform any adjustment.

  • Patent number: 4587363
Abstract: Oxygen-containing compounds are prepared by oxidizing a hydrocarbon in the liquid phase with a gas containing molecular oxygen, at elevated temperatures and under superatmospheric pressure, by a continuous process in which the said gas is fed into the liquid reaction mixture, in a downward direction, at several points along the reaction zone via nozzle apertures, so that it emerges at each nozzle aperture with a velocity of from 0.01 to 1 m/sec in an amount of from 0.001 to 10 liters per second per nozzle aperture, and the said reaction mixture is brought into substantially uniform contact with the gas containing molecular oxygen, over the volume of the reaction zone.

  • Patent number: 4512184
Abstract: An angle measuring device which includes a graduated disc and a stator is mounted to an external drive unit which includes a drive shaft and an attachment surface. The graduated disc is fixedly mounted to the drive shaft such that it is the drive shaft which guides the movement of the disc. The stator is mounted directly to the attachment surface such that the stator does not guide the movement of the graduated disc. In order to align the stator properly with respect to the drive shaft and the graduated disc, a centering collar is provided on the attachment surface, concentric with the drive shaft. The centering collar interacts with at least two alignment surfaces defined by the stator. These alignment surfaces are positioned to define the desired orientation of the stator with respect to the drive shaft.
