  • Patent number: 6122863
Abstract: A self-locking window operator has a reversible rotary drive shaft connectable in sequence to separate linkages respectively controlling movement of a casement relative to a surrounding frame and actuation of a fastening mechanism for releasably securing the casement when closed. The drive shaft is coupled by a worm gear to a drive input member rotatable about a drive axis and each linkage has a drive output member rotatable about separate axes offset from the drive axis. The input member has a drive pin co-operable with a respective pin receiving recess of each output member for sequentially operating the linkages.

  • Patent number: 3989791
Abstract: To permit moulding of a rigid breaker tire in a single-phase diaphragm press without damage caused by axial movement of the tread-forming segments relative to the tire carcass in the mould the tread segments are mounted to pivot about fixed longitudinal axes as the press is opened and closed so that they move simultaneously both radially and axially with respect to the mould cavity.

  • Patent number: 3957300
Abstract: A ring of paddles is provided the lower ends of which are engageable under the upper bead of a longitudinally-lying tire for lifting the latter and positioning it in a press. The paddles define an enclosure for the press diaphragm to prevent the latter "ballooning" out above a tire or tire carcass pre-formed to C-section and thus of smaller axial extent than its diaphragm when inserted in the press. Spreading of the lower ends of the paddles to engage under the tire bead is effected by gravity as the device is lifted and locking means is provided to prevent such spreading when desired.
