    Abstract: A fishing reel having a non-circular winding surface on which the fishing line is wound. The non-circular winding surface provides uneven pull on the line during retrieving of the bait attached to the end of the line, thus causing the bait to be pulled through the water with a realistic uneven motion or "action" which readily attracts fish.
