    Abstract: A preferred embodiment of the subject invention comprises a database architecture for identifying relationships between entities related to companies and methods for using that architecture to identify desired information about the companies and relationships between the companies and entities associated therewith. The architecture comprises a first set of data elements that represent companies; a second set of data elements that represent entities affiliated with one or more companies represented in the first set of data elements; and a third set of data elements that represent relationships between the first set of data elements and the second set of data elements. In a preferred embodiment, a directed, acyclic graph is used to represent the data elements.
