  • Patent number: 4510010
Abstract: A press, carried by a first table and having punch and die components, receives a rectangular filler sheet and forms a lateral accordian fold sheet. The accordian fold sheet is lifted from the press by transfer means and placed upon an envelope sheet overlaying a second table. Hinged panels carried by the second table fold the envelope sheet over the accordian fold sheet, forming a rigid compartmentalized panel having an opening along a longitudinal edge. The second table, with the opening upright, moves to a position under a receptacle from which granular loose fill material is entered into the compartments through the opening. Subsequently, flaps extending along the panels move to further fold the envelope sheet and close the opening.

  • Patent number: 4294875
Abstract: Marginal edge portions of two spaced apart flexible sheets are folded inwardly and joined to form an envelope. A plurality of laterally extending substantially rigid panels divide the envelope into a plurality of partitioned compartments. Each panel is angularly disposed relative each adjacent panel and the panels are fixed to the envelope, thereby providing a semi-rigid structure. Fibrous insulation material, especially cellulosic material such as treated ground paper, is contained in each compartment.

  • Patent number: 4058325
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a suspension stabilizer mens for elevatable tandem axle trailers wherein the tandem axle wheels are mounted on adjacent bell crank arms and allow the body of the trailer to be moved up and down with forward and rearward force applied to the trailer hitch. The disclosure relates to stabilizer means in the form of an equalizer lever and linkage means coupled between bell crank wheel mounting axles such as to couple the tandem wheels for unitary bell crank pivotal movement to raise and lower the trailer body by means of tension rods coupled to the trailer hitch and wherein the equalizer mechanism of the invention tends to force the wheels of one tandem axle system downwardly when another is deflected upwardly thereby equalizing or leveling the body and its load automatically as the individual wheels of the individual tendem axle systems step over bumps during the movement of the trailer along a roadway or the like.

  • Patent number: 3933342
Abstract: An ore processing furnace particularly adapted for processing ores at generally low temperatures ranging between 600.degree. Fahrenheit and 1200.degree. Fahrenheit: said furnace comprising an ore containing and processing chamber structure surrounded by a fire box and having ore heating tubes extending inwardly from the fire box to a central exhaust gas pipe whereby the ore heating tubes extend through a body of ore in said chamber; vapor collectors disposed above said ore heating tubes and extending upwardly through said chamber structure; vapor collectors above said ore heating tubes direct vapor upwardly through vapor conduits to an upper portion of said furnace in the area of an ore receiver at the upper portion thereof and the vapors are collected in a plenum which also exchanges heat to the ore for preheating it before it passes downwardly into an area around the ore heating tubes and a condenser communicating with the plenum condenses ore vapor to a liquid or a solid condition as may be appropriate.
