The shelf (108) can include a support surface (110) and at least one pivot (116) pivotally coupling the support surface (110) to the rearward surface of the seat back. For example, the support surface (110) may support a passenger's personal entertainment device or other item at a variety of viewing orientations and apart from the tray table (106).

Abstract: An armrest assembly for a passenger seat includes a moveable arm including a proximal end and a distal end, a stowed configuration wherein the moveable arm is disposed adjacent and approximately parallel to a seatback of the passenger seat, and a deployed configuration wherein the moveable arm is approximately parallel to a seat pan of the passenger seat. The moveable arm may include a first portion and a second portion. The armrest assembly may include a first rotation axis such that the moveable arm pivots about the first rotation axis when moving between the stowed configuration and the deployed configuration. The armrest assembly may include a second rotation axis such that the second portion pivots about the second rotation axis relative to the first portion.

Abstract: Described are temporary privacy modules for non-passenger seating areas of aircraft cabin arrangements. The temporary privacy modules selectively enclose a portion of the non-passenger seating areas. The temporary privacy modules include a support and a privacy device. The privacy device is movable relative to the support between a stowed position and a deployed position. In the deployed position, the privacy device encloses the portion of the non-passenger seating area and defines a temporary privacy room within the non-passenger seating area.

Abstract: Described are privacy screens and privacy assemblies for passenger seats including a frame defining a perimeter of the privacy screen and shaped to partially wrap around a portion of a passenger seat, a textile shell connected with and surrounding the frame, and a sound-absorbing layer positioned within the frame and surrounded by the textile shell for conferring physical, visual, and sound privacy for an occupant.

Abstract: Described are passenger seat headrest assemblies and seats including head-rest assemblies having a semi-rigid flap fixedly connected with an upper portion of the seat back or headrest assembly at a first location and movably connected with the seat back or headrest assembly at a receiving element separated from the first location. The distance of the movable connection from the first location can be adjusted to cause the flexible head-rest assembly to flex outward from the seat to provide a greater or lesser degree of support for a passenger.

Abstract: A removable privacy panel assembly (100) for a passenger seat includes a center panel (101) with a width approximately equal to a width of the passenger seat and at least one side panel (103, 104) with a connection to the center panel (101) where the at least one side panel extends approximately perpendicular to the center panel. The removable privacy panel assembly includes a deployed configuration where the removable privacy panel assembly is attached to the passenger seat and an uninstalled configuration where the removable privacy panel assembly is detached from the passenger seat. In the deployed configuration, the center panel is approximately aligned with a seatback (11) of the passenger seat and the at least one side panel (103, 104) extends forward from the center panel (101) beyond a seating surface of the passenger seat. In the deployed configuration, the at least one side panel (103, 104) is disposed adjacent to a headrest (15) of the passenger seat.
