Patent number: 11188013Abstract: An apparatus for stripping light weight and ultra-light weight media from a photoreceptor that is tacked thereto by electrostatic or vacuum force includes a set of low-tip stripper fingers configured to strip the light weight and ultra-light weight media from the photoreceptor. The low-tip stripper fingers are adjustable both in the cross process and in attack angle with respect to the photoreceptor in order to change the height at which the tip of each stripper finger is in relation to the photoreceptor and thereby prevent jams due to miss-strips. Additionally, dual stripper fingers are disclosed that support inboard and outboard edges of larger media in order to reduce dog ears and jams.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2019Date of Patent: November 30, 2021Assignee: Xerox CorporationInventors: Rachel Lynn Tanchak, Shawn R Rowan, Erwin Ruiz, Michael L Povio, Michael N Soures, Arthur H Kahn

Publication number: 20100008708Abstract: This is a marking system, either electrostatic or non-electrostatic marking system that directs both single and sets of media to a common stacker. This invention provides a way or path 1 to send media sheets directly to the stacker without going through the compiler. Compiling stations do not stack unfinished sheets well. An additional media path 2 is added to send sheets directly to the compiler for making into sets, and then to the stacker to be stacked with the single media sheets of path 1.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 10, 2008Publication date: January 14, 2010Applicant: XEROX CORPORATIONInventors: NICHOLAS W. Patent number: 7062218Abstract: A quad roll sheet curl control apparatus uses elastomer first and second rolls forming first and second nips with third and fourth rolls. The first and second rolls have compressible surfaces, while the third and fourth roll surfaces are formed of a substantially uncompressible material. A pivotable gate member in operating relationship with the first and second nips directs sheets to either the first or the second nip whereby the desired decurling orientation is achieved for the sheet by either the elastomer first roll or the elastomer second roll. Switching nips and curl to be induced does not require drive reversal as previous decurler arrangements do. The degree of decurling can be adjusted with at least one cam in communication with at least one of the first and second rolls.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2003Date of Patent: June 13, 2006Assignee: Xerox CorporationInventors: Daniel H. Burnett, Kenneth E. Giunta, Donald E. Johnston, Arthur H. Kahn, Anthony G. Poletto, Harry Ramos
