  • Publication number: 20230196492
Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable storage media are disclosed for generating transportation matches for transportation requests utilizing one or more efficiency metrics based on network coverage in a region. For example, the systems utilize regional and sub-regional network coverage features to generate a predicted network coverage improvement metric resulting from not assigning a particular provider device to a transportation request according to the regional network coverage features. Additionally, the systems utilize regional network coverage features to determine possible request states for a transportation request. The systems then utilize a Markov decision model policy based on the request states to generate an unmatched requester device efficiency metric associated with leaving the request unassigned for a time period.

  • Publication number: 20230076582
Abstract: This disclosure describes a request distribution system that can intelligently distribute transportation requests to provider devices to improve transportation system network coverage and efficiency. For example, the disclosed systems can identify a transportation request corresponding to a first transportation mode and analyze multiple limited-eligibility provider devices having various modes as potential recipients for the transportation request. In some embodiments, the disclosed systems can further determine an expected change in network coverage time associated with providing the transportation request to a first provider device corresponding to the first transportation mode versus a second provider device corresponding to a second transportation mode. The disclosed systems can provide the transportation request to the second provider device corresponding to the second transportation mode according to the expected change in network coverage time and/or other transportation request metrics.

  • Publication number: 20230057527
Abstract: This disclosure describes a request distribution system that can intelligently distribute transportation requests to provider devices to improve transportation system network coverage and efficiency. For example, the disclosed systems can identify one or more provider devices (e.g., limited-eligibility provider devices or full-eligibility provider devices) as potential recipients for a transportation request. In some embodiments, the disclosed systems can further determine an expected change in network coverage time associated with providing the transportation request to one provider device versus another. The disclosed systems can provide the transportation request to a provider device according to the expected change in network coverage time and/or other transportation request metrics.

  • Publication number: 20210082077
Abstract: The disclosed dynamic transportation matching system may include a non-transitory memory and one or more hardware processors configured to execute instructions from the non-transitory memory to perform operations including receiving transportation requests from requestor devices. The dynamic transportation matching system may also identify a set of transportation provider devices and determine an acceptance probability for each provider device to determine a likelihood of accepting a transportation request. Additionally, the dynamic transportation matching system may match a provider device to each transportation request, based on the acceptance probabilities of each provider device for each transportation request, and send the transportation requests to the matched provider devices. Furthermore, the dynamic transportation matching system may send updates about the matches to the requestor devices. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
