  • Publication number: 20200390916
Abstract: A method for sterilizing a concentrated composition and a diluent. The diluent is contained in a large container, and the concentrated composition is contained in a small container that is positioned within the large container. The combined containers are placed in at least one sealing layer that is hermetically sealed, and is also preferably placed in a second sealing layer that is also hermetically sealed. The bagged container is then placed in a carton, which preferably has a liner, and the carton is closed. The carton is then irradiation sterilized. The carton is delivered to the clean room. At a first staging area, the carton is opened and the bagged container is removed and brought to a second staging area. At the second staging area, the second sealing layer is removed and the container can be stored in the first sealing layer. The container is brought into the clean environment, where the first sealing layer is removed.

  • Patent number: 10399846
Abstract: A mixing and dispensing apparatus, including a first container (for containing a first substance), a second container (for containing a second substance), and a tube system (that combines the first and second substances into one combined substance and mixes and dispenses the combined substance). Notably, a fluid-impermeable enclosure encloses the first container, the second container, and the tube system. Therefore, instead of performing the time-consuming process of formulating alcohol (used to decontaminate surfaces in clean room environments) to desired levels and filter-sterilizing it in the clean room environment, the claimed apparatus can be pre-filled off-site, sterilized, shipped to the destination, remain sterilized during shipment, and be used to combine (and mix and dispense) the substances on site.

  • Publication number: 20180029875
Abstract: A system and method for mixing and dispensing two substances are provided. The system includes: a first substance a first container for containing a first substance, a second container for containing a second substance, a feeding tube, and a pumping system connected to the first container, the second container, and the feeding tube; wherein the system comprises at least three modes of operation: combining the first and second substances into one combined substance, mixing the combined substance, and dispensing the mixed substance; and wherein the pumping system is adapted to perform the at least three modes of operation and dispense the mixed substance to the feeding tube.

  • Publication number: 20130295664
Abstract: An air sampler device has a top plate and a bottom plate, and receives a Petri dish between the top plate and the bottom plate. The top plate includes 283 substantially small holes. The bottom plate has a deepened center well formed in the top surface. Elongated slots are formed in the top surface which extend out from the well. The slots have distal ends which extend beyond the Petri dish. Air is drawn into the sampler by a vacuum tube through an air port which communicates with the center well. Air is pulled into the 283 holes in the top plate and strikes the capture material in the Petri dish. The air then travels up over the sides of the dish, into the distal ends, through the slots, and into the center well, where it exits out of the vacuum air port.

  • Patent number: 7066354
Abstract: A mixing and dispensing apparatus has a small bottle which is positioned within a larger bottle. The small bottle contains a concentrated solution, and the larger bottle contains water. The small bottle has a nozzle that is off-center, a grip base that is an integral part of the bottle, and a vent to maintain zero atmospheric pressure internally. The small bottle is inverted and placed within the neck of the large bottle. The nozzle of the small bottle is placed within a narrowed internal passageway at the base of the neck of the nozzle. Once the apparatus is ready for use, the small bottle is pulled upward using a pull ring, thereby opening the nozzle and releasing the contents of the small bottle into the large bottle. The contents are poured out through a separate pour spout.

  • Patent number: 6851580

The small bottle has a nozzle that is off-center, a grip base that is an integral part of the bottle, and a vent to maintain zero atmospheric pressure internally. The small bottle is inverted and placed within the neck of the large bottle. The small bottle is then rotated so that the neck of the nozzle comes between two arms of a release mechanism which is an integral part of the large bottle. In an alternative preferred embodiment, the nozzle is centered, and is pushed through the arms of the release mechanism. Once the apparatus is ready for use, the small bottle is pulled upward using the base grip or a pull ring, thereby opening the nozzle and releasing the contents of the small bottle into the large bottle.
