  • Publication number: 20070178182
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for the manufacture of one or more fibrils or filament yarns, respectively, whereby at least one first capillary or several capillaries, respectively, are arranged in the center of a spinning unit, for the guidance of flows of a first material. Further capillaries for at least one further material are arranged in the surrounding area of the first capillary. The capillaries are in a perforated plate, which is located on a nozzle plate with spray nozzles or spinning capillaries, respectively. In each case, flush with a spinning capillary, a projection is located on the side of the perforated plate turned towards the spinning capillary or nozzle plate, respectively. The projection covers a front hole, which passes into the spinning capillary, whereby central capillaries run in the center of the projections and more open into the middle area of the front hole.

  • Patent number: 5222676
Abstract: A yarn build is applied to at a constant traverse length up to a limit diameter D. In order to achieve a uniform yarn draw-off tension, even with packages of large mass and correspondingly large diameter, the traverse length is thereafter reduced as the diameter increases. In the case of a conically shaped tube, the conicity of the build is also reduced which leads to improved exploitation of volume and greater package mass for a given package radius.

  • Patent number: 5170617
Abstract: Packages, particularly cross-wound packages are produced directly at a ring spinning frame. In a method and apparatus for making packages a rewinding device is provided for a group of spinning stations. The rewinding device comprises a fixed winding station and a gripping device movable along the group of spinning stations. The rewinding device is able to perform all the manipulations for starting up a spinning process with empty yarn carriers. It is also possible to change the full yarn carriers and mount the empty yarn carriers on a spinning frame, remove thread breaks and carry out spinning following a batch change. Spinning of the individual yarn carriers takes place individually, so that when replacing one yarn carrier, the other spinning stations continue to operate. This leads to a high production rate of the ring spinning frame and simultaneously reduces costs for rewinding compared with known systems.

  • Patent number: 5033686
Abstract: When using several reeling stations, a single drive shaft is provided for driving the drive rollers and this is driven by a single driving station. For each reeling station, a drive branch branches off from the drive shaft and has an infinitely variable gear for driving the thread laying devices. The thread supplied by a textile machine is wound in accordance with a preprogrammed winding through a regulator associated with the reeling station. The driving station can be driven by a motor or by the delivery mechanism of the textile machine with a synchronous speed or with a speed having a fixed transmission ratio, a number of reeling stations corresponding to the number of delivery mechanisms being simultaneously drivable.

  • Patent number: 4796418
Abstract: Two parallel-inserted thread ends are introduced into a thread end preparation device via an air gap located above a preparation tube. The thread ends are cut by shears and thereafter an air flow produced in an air intake tube blows the thread ends into the preparation tube. The prepared thread ends are brought by retracting levers into the vicinity of the splicing chamber. The splicing chamber is provided with a cover and splicing is carried out by supplying a compressed air flow. Two thread ends are spliced together after cutting by exposing the two ends to a single air flow to prepare the ends for splicing by untwisting the ends and removing loose thread parts therefrom. The cut and prepared ends are disposed in a splicing chamber and compressed air is passed through the chamber to splice the ends together.

  • Patent number: 4789107
Abstract: When a thread (10) supplied at a constant speed is wound onto a cross-wound bobbin (11), the variations in thread tension are compensated, and in addition predetermined thread-tension limiting values are prevented from being exceeded as a result of a change in the winding-on speed. A first regulating system (96) is provided for compensating periodic variations in the thread tension, while a second regulating system (51) is provided for compensating shifts in the range of thread tensions. The second regulating system is designed as a variable step-up gear (5), the drive part (60) of which is connected to a drive shaft (4) extending over several spooling stations. The output part (62) of this step-up gear (5) is connected to the spooling roller (3), the drive part (60) being connected to the output part (62) by means of a transmission member (61) which determines the gear ratio at any particular time and which is adjustable as a function of the thread tension.

  • Patent number: 4515320
Abstract: A winding station in a traverse winding frame for winding thread on a package comprises a belt drive for rotating a cheese or bobbin via a driving roller and a grooved drum for thread laying. The grooved drum drive has a continuously variable gear, whose speed is continuously variable by an adjusting linkage. The speed of the cheese and the grooved drum is measured by two tachometers and supplied as a corresponding signal to a computer, in which the actual value calculated from the two signals is compared with a desired value stored in the computer and a correction signal is then fed to a control element for adjusting the adjusting linkage. Thus, the cheese can be wound with a thread winding, which combines the advantages of a random winding with a constant pitch angle and a precision winding with a substantially constant turns ratio during partial windings, without suffering from their disadvantages.

  • Patent number: 4026482
Abstract: To prevent undesired winding patterns on a yarn package being spooled, in which the package is in engagement with a drive drum and a yarn traverse guide is provided to traverse the yarn, a drive is in engagement with the drive drum which includes a drive belt having a length substantially in excess of its stretched length and a belt length tightening or compensating roller is in engagement with the extra long drive belt at the driving run of the belt, the compensating roller being moved cyclically, for example under control of a cam, to provide cyclical acceleration and retardation to the driven element connected to the drive belt, for example the drive drum, or the traverse drum.
