  • Patent number: 7162832
Abstract: A rodent snap trap device includes a snap bar rotatably coupled to a base. The snap bar is rotatable between a spring biased, rest position and a loaded position. A unitary trigger is pivotably coupled to the base. The trigger includes a horizontal trigger portion with a rectangular platform and a vertical trigger portion with a catch. Disposed on an external side of the vertical trigger portion, the catch is located outside of a snap zone defined by a perimeter of the snap bar in the rest position such that setting up the trap does not require a user to expose his hand to the pathway of the snap bar. Adhesive material and/or rodent attractants may be disposed on a top surface of the rectangular platform. A removable cover is disposed over the platform, covering the adhesive material and/or rodent attractants.

  • Patent number: 6998133
Abstract: An adhesive device for capturing insects includes a thin main body with a mirrored, operative surface upon which an adhesive material is disposed for capturing insects upon contact. The mirrored surface provides a reflection similar to water so as to attract insects, such as mosquitoes, which are naturally drawn toward water. The device may include one or more insect attractants such as odors, pheromones, food, blood, urine, glow-in-the-dark materials and glitter. An opposite surface includes additional adhesive material for affixing the device to an object, surface or area where usage is desired.

  • Publication number: 20040216368
Abstract: A rodent trap device includes an elongate tube and a pair of end caps that form a watertight and/or airtight seal with the tube. An adhesive material is radially disposed on an inner surface of the tube at a central portion thereof. Each end cap includes a circumferential flange that conforms to a cross-sectional profile of the tube so as to facilitate a watertight and/or airtight seal. The device terminates a trapped rodent by drowning or suffocation. A water-activated antibacterial disinfectant is disposed on an inner surface of either end cap. The tube includes one or more axial flat portions such that the tube may be placed on the ground and up against a wall. A method for terminating a rodent by drowning or suffocation is also provided.

  • Patent number: 6789352
Abstract: A pest bait station includes a disposable carrier disposed in a reusable housing. Pest bait is securely affixed to the carrier such that movement of the station does not dislodge the bait from the carrier. A first bait affixed to a lower surface of the carrier exterminates smaller pests while a second bait affixed to an upper surface of the carrier exterminates larger pests. The carrier is shaped, such as a cone, to provide a lower space and an upper space for receiving differently sized pests. A lid of the housing is shaped to accommodate the shape of the cone. The lid is removably coupled to a base to form a water-tight seal. Openings formed in the base allow for entry of pests. A magnet or adhesive may be placed on a bottom side of the base to enable the station to be coupled to any surface.

  • Patent number: 5884801
Abstract: An improved trash bag having a sidewall forming a trash-receiving volume, and having an inside surface, an outside surface, and an opening. There is at least one adhesive patch on the inside surface of the trash bag for trapping insects that enter the bag. The adhesive patches preferably extend substantially around the interior of the bag, and are spaced sufficiently from the opening of the bag that when the bag is inserted into a trash container, at least some of the adhesive patches are inside the container. A removable protective cover can be provided on the adhesive patches for protecting the adhesive before the trash bag is used, but which can be removed to expose the adhesive when the trash bag is used. The patches are preferably made to attract insects, for example being of a contrasting color to the inside surface of the bag, having contrasting insect silhouettes, and/or including chemical attractants.
