  • Publication number: 20260112869
Abstract: A method for easy, safe and fast removal of a section of a cable film. An end section of a cable has a cable axis, wherein the cable includes a cable jacket and at least one electrically conductive conductor structure and which includes a cable film made from a plastic and applied into one of the conductor structures. A defined damaged region is generated by inductively heating at least that conductor structure on which the cable film is applied such that the cable film applied onto the heated conductor structure is at least partially thermally damaged in the damaged region. The cable film is moved relative to one of the conductor structures, wherein a crack is formed by the relative movement in the damaged region that separates the section of the cable film to be removed from a section of the cable film remaining on the cable.

  • Patent number: 9321566
Abstract: A box closure apparatus is provided for securing flaps of a box in the closed position. The box closure apparatus comprises an upper flange, a bottom flange and a web. The flaps are secured by engaging the apparatus with two flaps and sliding the apparatus toward a third flap. The flaps are released by sliding the apparatus away from the third flap and raising the two side flaps.

  • Patent number: 7470404
Abstract: A collection and testing cup for fluid characterization is disclosed. The cup has a lid assembly with a tamper evident closure; a cylinder that extends into the fluid in the collection cup, also with a tamper evident closure; a piston with a conduit and one-way valve through which a portion of the fluid can be forced into an isolation chamber separate from the main collection cup for testing. The lid assembly cylinder is configured with an aperture or passage near the bottom of the cylinder to allow a small portion of fluid to enter the lower portion of the cylinder from the collection cup chamber and a piston with a central conduit and valve initially positioned near the top of the cylinder adjacent to the lid.

  • Patent number: 4505271
Abstract: The invention relates to an appliance for the treatment and relief of arthritic pain. The apparatus may be embodied in many shapes and forms depending upon the body part to be treated, but is generally comprised of a laminar construction of plural elastic fiber layers, which are held together at their longitudinal edges by elastic joints. Lateral edges of the layers are held together by strength joints, which are positioned substantially adjacent to each other when the appliance is wrapped around the body part to be treated and is secured in place.
