Publication number: 20220393445Abstract: A method for easy, safe and fast removal of a section of a cable film. An end section of a cable has a cable axis, wherein the cable includes a cable jacket and at least one electrically conductive conductor structure and which includes a cable film made from a plastic and applied into one of the conductor structures. A defined damaged region is generated by inductively heating at least that conductor structure on which the cable film is applied such that the cable film applied onto the heated conductor structure is at least partially thermally damaged in the damaged region. The cable film is moved relative to one of the conductor structures, wherein a crack is formed by the relative movement in the damaged region that separates the section of the cable film to be removed from a section of the cable film remaining on the cable.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2020Publication date: December 8, 2022Inventors: Daniel Rebel, Bernhard Walker, Jakob Manhart, Erich Habermann, Stefan Veit, Arthur Weber, Thibaut Lenormant

Patent number: 10086861Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for restraining the movement of a wheeled transport apparatus using a restraining device. The restraining device may include an elongated frame component having an upstanding rear portion and a base portion. The base portion is configured to be secured to a floor surface. A loading member may be provided, located adjacent the elongated frame component. The loading member defines a ramp surface to guide a rotational movement of a wheel of the wheeled transport apparatus into a receiving space. In certain aspects, the elongated frame component comprises an angle iron defining a length and having a substantially uniform L-shaped cross-section. The device may further include a locking member pivotally coupled to the elongated frame component and configured to retainingly engage a structural component of the wheeled transport apparatus.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2017Date of Patent: October 2, 2018Assignee: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc.Inventors: James Hendrik Martin, Dwayne Joey Kennedy, William Cody Willems, William Dwayne Peach, Deron Arthur Weber

Patent number: 9133950Abstract: A servo pulser used to actuate a pulser valve and create pressure pulses in downhole measurement while drilling tools is described. An electric gearmotor is used to rotate a shaft which in turn operates a servo valve. A facing portion of the shaft is compressed onto the face of a servo seat having passages connected to the inside of a drill collar and the rotating action is used to open and/or obstruct a fluid path through those passages. The shaft may include wear-resistant tips to obstruct the fluid path. Part of the torque-transmitting apparatus between the gearmotor and the shaft can be hydrostatically compensated, and part sealed against the operating environment. A magnetic torque coupler may be used as part of the torque-transmitting apparatus between the gearmotor and the shaft. The servo pulser is coupled to a pulser valve, a power source and a sensor package all of which reside inside a short section of drill pipe near the bottom of well bore being drilled.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2013Date of Patent: September 15, 2015Assignee: Rime Downhole Technologies, LLCInventors: Manoj Gopalan, Robert Arthur Weber

Patent number: 4505271Abstract: The invention relates to an appliance for the treatment and relief of arthritic pain. The apparatus may be embodied in many shapes and forms depending upon the body part to be treated, but is generally comprised of a laminar construction of plural elastic fiber layers, which are held together at their longitudinal edges by elastic joints. Lateral edges of the layers are held together by strength joints, which are positioned substantially adjacent to each other when the appliance is wrapped around the body part to be treated and is secured in place.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 1984Date of Patent: March 19, 1985Inventor: Arthur Weber
