  • Patent number: 4922880
Abstract: A fuel injector for an internal combustion engine which includes a housing having a flange for mounting the fuel injector to a cylinder head, a pump jet and at least one electrical component internal of the housing, a pair of electrical connector leads for the electrical component, an aperture extending through the flange, and a portion of the electrical connector leads extending from internally of the housing and terminating in the aperture, thereby permitting the pair of electrical connector leads to be connected with another pair of electrical connector leads in the aperture. The ends of the electrical connector leads are preferably provided with electrical connecting elements secured in the aperture and the other pair of electrical connector leads may be provided in the form of an extension or plug adapted to engage the electrical connecting elements in the aperture.

  • Patent number: 4884204
Abstract: This microcomputer system can be used, for example, in a regulator for internal combustion engines for controlling and regulating the fuel injection and other functions in a motor vehicle in dependence on operating magnitudes. Exemplary controlled functions include engine revolutions, charging pressure, gas pedal position, etc. The controlled functions are determined with the aid of sensors connected with the microcomputer system. The outputs of the microcomputer are connected with servo members, signal displays or the like, which may be energized by drive circuits. The system functions are distributed over the individual microcomputers (1, 2, 3), and a parameter storer (5) is provided for, for example, motor-specific and vehicle-specific data.

  • Patent number: 4682090
Abstract: A circuit for a function generator, or resolver, employing large air gaps between its stator and rotor and between primary and secondary coils of an automatic transformer supplying its excitation signal is disclosed. The circuit operates to insure that the rotor signal is of sufficient voltage to convey the angular position of the rotor. The voltage of the rotor signal is otherwise subject to variations which are temperature dependent. The function generator and circuit of the present invention allows the use of economic function generators without excess drain on associated power supplies. Frequency of the excitation signal is established by a capacitor in parallel with the excitation terminals. A negative feedback path about an excitation amplifier include a nonlinear member comprising antiparallel diodes. The excitation amplifier determines the amplitude of the excitation signal and hence the amplitude of the rotor signal conveying angular rotor position information.
