Publication number: 20210346073Abstract: The present invention discloses a cable passer device and method for placement of a cerclage cable for internal fixation of bone. The device comprises a cannulated body including a proximal end, a straight portion, an arcuate portion, and a distal end. The straight portion extends from the proximal end, and the arcuate portion extends from the straight portion and ends at the distal end of the cannulated body. A continuous groove extends from the proximal end to the distal end through the straight portion and the arcuate portion of the cannulated body. The groove extends radially along an internal diameter of the cannulated body. An opening of the groove facilitates to receive the cerclage cable therein. The width of the opening remains the same throughout an entire length of the continuous groove. The groove includes varying angle to facilitate unimpeded movement of cerclage cable therethrough.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 11, 2021Publication date: November 11, 2021Inventors: Sambhu N. Publication number: 20210169152Abstract: A configurable bra provides additional support and comfort to accommodate a wide variation in breast shapes and weights. The variations can arise from factors such as: (i) asymmetry; (ii) mastectomy; (iii) period changes; (iv) maternity changes; (v) breast feeding; and (vi) orthopedic inputs (e.g., weight distribution, center of gravity change, volume shift, etc.). In one or more embodiments, adjustments for circumference and amount of vertical lifting of the breasts is provided to handle different women or changes that occur for the same woman.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 9, 2020Publication date: June 10, 2021Inventors: Sambhu N. Publication number: 20200289334Abstract: A medical bandage includes a bandage substrate having a portion designated to receive and underlie an arm of a patient as a non-sterile area. A flap attached longitudinally along one edge of the non-sterile area of the bandage substrate is positionable in: (i) an open position for insertion of the arm; and (ii) a closed position over top of the arm of the patient. The flap has an opening that exposes at least a forearm portion as a sterilizable area of the arm of the patient for therapeutic or diagnostic access to a blood vein. An inner adhesive layer is attached to an inner surface of the flap around the opening to releasably adhere to the arm of the patient. An access panel is sized to cover the opening. An outer adhesive layer attached to an outer surface releasably adheres to an outer annular area of the access panel.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 12, 2019Publication date: September 17, 2020Applicant: CONCEPTO, LLCInventors: Sambhu N. Publication number: 20160296289Abstract: An apparatus and method of fabricating a replacement prosthesis component for implantation into a patient by receiving a diagnostic scan of an implanted prosthesis component in the patient. A controller converts the diagnostic scan into a three-dimensional model of the implanted prosthesis. The controller automatically matches the three-dimensional model with a selected replacement part model that mates with the implanted prosthesis. The controller prepares a three-dimensional printing model of the selected replacement part model to a three-dimensional printer for fabricating a matching replacement part.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 20, 2016Publication date: October 13, 2016Inventors: Sambhu Choudhury, Sean Lynch, Arturo David Sanchez, Andrew Ryan Law

Patent number: 8919555Abstract: A needle storage device includes a base having a center post, and a tray disposed around the post. The tray has dividers defining multiple slots for receiving needles and other surgical instruments. A cover over the tray has an opening which exposes only one of those slots at a time. A needle other sharp device may be inserted through the opening into the slot below. The tray has a hub or button, exposed through a central opening in the cover, which can then be depressed and released to move the tray up and down between the base and the cover. A mechanism comprising teeth on both the tray and the cover angularly increments the tray beneath the opening, exposing a neighboring slot each time the tray is depressed.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2013Date of Patent: December 30, 2014Inventors: Sambhu N. Choudhury, Sean M. Lynch, Arturo David Sanchez

Publication number: 20140303743Abstract: A dual mobility femoral head construct has a secure acetabular shell received within an acetabular recess formed in a pelvis. An implantable prosthetic device is implantable after a failure of an originally installed articular head insert of an acetabular cup assembly. A hemispherical liner is formed from a cast cobalt-chromium alloy for thinness and elasticity. At least three spacers are annularly displaced about an outer diameter of the hemispherical liner to define a uniform cement thickness with the secure acetabular shell. Web shaped depressions are formed circumferentially in the outer diameter of the hemispherical liner to receive cement to resist lever out forces and to secure the cement bond with the secure acetabular shell. A replacement articular head insert is then received for dual mobility rotational movement in an inner diameter of the hemispherical liner. A femoral head implant is received for articulating movement in the articular head insert.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 17, 2014Publication date: October 9, 2014Inventors: Sambhu Choudhury, Sean Lynch, Arturo David Sanchez, Andrew Ryan Law
