  • Patent number: 6011336
Abstract: A cost-efficient vibration-isolating mounting for motors including a pressed or stamped metal motor mount (12) upon with the motor is mounted and a vibration-isolation pad (14) upon which the motor mount (12) is mounted. A clamp formation (42) at each end of the vibration-isolation pad (14) so that a respective thru-bolt (48) secures the motor mount (12) and the assembled vibration-isolation pad (14) to a supporting floor (16) or wall structure. The vibration-isolation pad (14) includes a set of bumpers (40) at each corner to retain the motor mount (12) in place on the top of the vibration-isolation pad (14).

  • Patent number: 5862543
Abstract: A user-selectable multi-jet assembly (10) for jetted baths/spas includes a faceplate assembly (12) having a first set of three user-selectable ball-type nozzles (14) and a second set of three user-selectable swirler-type nozzles (16). The faceplate assembly 12 is bidirectionally rotatable about an axis A.sub.x between two user-selectable positions in which either the ball-type nozzles (14) or the swirler-type nozzles (16) are selected. The multi-jet assembly (10) includes a housing (46) into which both water and air are supplied and internal distribution tubes (28) through which water is directed into the user-selected nozzles. The faceplate assembly (12) is connected to an internal rear valve plate (50) that cooperates with a stator (52) to effectively interrupt water flow through the nozzles as the faceplate assembly (12) is rotated from one user-selected position to the other.

  • Patent number: 4416030
Abstract: An improved more compact type of fully adjustable spa jet water aerator is provided which is simple, inexpensive, durable, easy to install and use and which features easy separate adjustment of water and air flow therethrough. The aerator can be secured within a spa wall with the exit nozzle and controls readily accessible from within the spa. The aerator comprises a molded unitary housing defining an elongated passageway with water and air conduits disposed in stacked relation on the same side of the passageway to conserve space. The passageway extends to the front of the housing. The conducts have openings communicating with the passageway and a concentric pair of sleeves are threaded into the passageway and manually adjustable to align apertures therein with the conduit openings to control the air and water flow into the passageway. Cylindrical preferably ridged seals with alignable apertures are disposed over the rear ends of the sleeves adjacent the sleeve apertures to prevent fluid leakage.

  • Patent number: 4335854
Abstract: An adjustable spa jet water aerator is provided which is very compact, simple, inexpensive, and durable and which provides for easy separate adjustment of water and air flow therethrough. The aerator is directly securable within a spa wall. It comprises a housing defining water and air conduits disposed in side-by-side relation with a cylindrical passageway therebetween and extending perpendicular to the conduits. The passageway extends to the exterior of the housing at the front end thereof. The conduits have openings communicating with the base of the passageway through alignable openings in a pair of sleeves concentrically disposed for rotation in the passageway. Manual rotation of the sleeves individually controls the flow of water and air from the conduits. The inner sleeve defines an aerating chamber in the passageway. An eyeball type nozzle is disposed in the exit end of the aerating chamber and can include a rotatable restrictor ring for adjusting the flow of aerated water from the spa jet aerator.
