  • Patent number: 11966843
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture for distributed training of a neural network are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a neural network trainer to select a plurality of training data items from a training data set based on a toggle rate of each item in the training data set. A neural network parameter memory is to store neural network training parameters. A neural network processor is to generate training data results from distributed training over multiple nodes of the neural network using the selected training data items and the neural network training parameters. The neural network trainer is to synchronize the training data results and to update the neural network training parameters.

  • Publication number: 20130166325
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems and methods for insurance quoting are disclosed. One embodiment of the invention receives from a user one or more images related to a driver's license, which are generated by a portable electronic device. The method then extracts identification information from the received images, and generates an insurance quote based, at least in part, on the extracted identification information and presents the insurance quote to the user. The generated insurance quote may be a quote for an auto insurance, a home insurance, a flood insurance, a life insurance or the like.

  • Patent number: 6556556
Abstract: An improved method and system for limiting data packet transmission within a digital mobile telephone communication network, such as a code division multiple access (CDMA) mobile telephone communication network, by discarding unsuccessfully transmitted radio link protocol frames is disclosed. A code division multiple access (CDMA) mobile telephone communication network includes a mobile telephone, a base station, a mobile switching center, and a network Interworking Function. Within the CDMA mobile telephone communication network, each point-to-point protocol data packet is typically divided into multiple radio link protocol frames before their transmissions over an air link. In accordance with a method and system of the present invention, a marker bit is provided for each of the radio link protocol frames. The marker bit can be part of the frame header and will be removed before air link transmission.
