  • Publication number: 20250028997
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for calibrating parameters for a model of interest. In one example, this disclosure describes identifying, based on a textual description, a model that generates an output based on a set of inputs; selecting a first plurality of parameter values; assembling a set of training samples by observing outputs generated by the model in response to each of the first plurality of parameter values; training a surrogate model, wherein the surrogate model is trained to predict outputs of the model; generating, using the surrogate model, predicted outputs of the model, wherein each of the predicted outputs of the model is based on a different parameter value in a second plurality of parameter values; selecting, based on the predicted outputs of the model, a desired parameter value; and applying the model, using the desired parameter value, to predict a value of interest for an input value.

  • Patent number: 12204416
Abstract: Multi-site distributed storage systems and computer-implemented methods are described for improving a resumption time of input/output (I/O) operations during a common snapshot procedure for storage objects. A computer-implemented method includes initiating a snapshot multi create operation to selectively form a batch of first and second synchronous replicated datasets that belong to a first group of storage disks at the primary storage site and corresponding second group of storage disks at the secondary storage site, performing a batch snapshot create operation on the primary storage site by executing snapshots of storage objects on the primary storage site of the batch of first and second synchronous replicated datasets in parallel multiple threads to effectively utilize processing resources on the primary storage site, and initiating an independent workflow and state machine for each storage object of the batch of first and second synchronous replicated datasets.

  • Patent number: 12205319
Abstract: Multi-object tracking in autonomous vehicles uses both camera data and LiDAR data for training, but not LiDAR data at query time. Thus, no LiDAR sensor is on a piloted autonomous vehicle. Example systems and methods rely on camera 2D object detections alone, rather than 3D annotations. Example systems/methods utilize a single network that is given a camera image as input and can learn both object detection and dense depth in a multimodal regression setting, where the ground truth LiDAR data is used only at training time to compute depth regression loss. The network uses the camera image alone as input at test time (i.e., when deployed for piloting an autonomous vehicle) and can predict both object detections and dense depth of the scene. LiDAR is only used for data acquisition and is not required for drawing 3D annotations or for piloting the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 12182148
Abstract: A computing system includes a processor and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform acts. The acts include receiving a query provided by a user. The acts additionally include determining that the query is related to a comparison between entities. Based upon the determining that the query is related to the comparison between entities, the computing system generates a prompt that is to be input to a generative language model, where the prompt includes: 1) an instruction for the generative language model to generate a table based upon the query; and 2) attribute values for entities identified by a search system based upon the query. The acts also include providing the prompt as input to the generative language model, where the generative language model generates a table based upon the prompt, and further where the table includes the attribute values for the entities.

  • Publication number: 20240427416
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for extended reality environment interaction. An extended reality environment including an object is generated for display, and a table of eyelid motion identifiers and corresponding actions performable on the object in the extended reality environment is stored in memory. An eyelid motion is detected by using a sensor, and the detected eyelid motion is matched to one of the stored eyelid motion identifiers. An updated version of the extended reality environment, based on the action that corresponds to the matched eyelid motion, is generated for display, in response to matching the detected eyelid motion to one of the stored eyelid motion identifiers.

  • Publication number: 20240420204
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to providing a shoppable video corpus by generating a shoppable URL. A URL is extracted from a video corpus, in which the extracted URL may be a long URL or a short URL. Extracted URLs are then combined and normalized. From the normalized URL, noise is removed and quality control is performed. As a result, shoppable URL may be presented at the user's computing device as personal recommendation. The video and metadata of the cleaned URL is also ingested and stored in a database for future reference.

  • Publication number: 20240416011
Abstract: Tumor resection is commonly practiced to prevent the progression of cancer. However, there are post-surgery concerns including the formation of a void that can allow cancer cells to escape at the surgery site, which increases the risk of metastasis. To counter this challenge, an embodiment includes a polyurethane-based shape memory foam as a tissue void-filling device that can also release anti-cancer drugs. Such foams may activate at body temperature and become malleable. Such properties may enable the foam to be shaped to precisely seal the tissue void and then serve as a drug-eluting device. Based on the drug composition with poly vinyl alcohol (PVA), the drug release profile from the foam may be altered depending on the application.

  • Publication number: 20240419420
Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a software application deployer (SAD) system or bot that can automate installation of a software package, whether as new software or an upgrade. In one or more embodiments, a SAD bot automatically identifies a type of input software package and deploys an appropriate deployer. A SAD bot may be used in various scenarios such as customer environments and engineering environments. Because the SAD bot is automated, the overall process may be performed with minimal human involvement. Following automatic deployment of a software package by a SAD bot, in one or more embodiments, a user/admin can directly start using the installed or upgraded application via a GUI (graphical user interface)/console/SSH (secure shell for Unix).

  • Patent number: 12170581
Abstract: A network controller in an overlay network maintains collective sets of identity-based policies and identity mappings for onboarded users of the network for informed distribution to network elements across the network. As new users are onboarded, the controller identifies a site of the network at which the user was onboarded and determines identity mappings of the user and applicable policies for distribution to a network element at the identified site. The controller assigns index values to each identity and communicates the indices to network elements with the corresponding identity mappings and policies. The network elements encapsulate cross-site traffic with the index values corresponding to senders so recipient network elements can obtain the index value from encapsulation header formats, query the controller for the corresponding identity mappings, and apply policies to the traffic that are determined to be pertinent based on the sender's identity mappings obtained from the controller.

  • Patent number: 12160517
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an efficient system for cancelable biometric template protection which is not available in the conventional systems. Initially, the system receives a biometric template from a user. The biometric template is one of, a face image, a fingerprint, an iris image and a palmprint. Further, a vector embedding is computed based on the biometric template using a pretrained neural network. After computing the vector embedding, a key based permutation is computed based on the vector embedding and a permutation key. The permutation key is generated based on an Identification number (ID) associated with the user using a random number based key generation technique. Finally, a protected biometric template is generated by computing a permuted embedding corresponding to the biometric template based on the key based permutation using a plurality of fully connected layers pretrained using a weight based center triplet loss function.

  • Publication number: 20240393973
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for bringing a volume of a consistency group (CG) into an in-synchronization (InSync) state while other volumes of the CG remain in the InSync state. According to an example, in order to support recovery from disruptive events in a manner that ensures a zero recovery point objective (RPO) guarantee and insulates an application making use of the CG from adverse impacts, responsive to a triggering event, a Fast Resync process may first be attempted to promptly bring an affected volume back into an in-synchronization (InSync) state from an out of synchronization (OOS) state while allowing other members of the CG to remain in the InSync state. Should the Fast resync process be unsuccessful in bringing the volume back into the InSync state within a predetermined or configurable time threshold, then a second type of resynchronization process may be employed at the CG level.
