  • Patent number: 10998822
Abstract: A power transfer device and an associated method thereof are disclosed. The power transfer device includes a driver unit having a plurality of converters. The driver unit includes a plurality of legs forming ones of the plurality of converters, such that at least one leg of a first converter of the plurality of converters is common to a second converter of the plurality of converters. Each converter of the plurality of converters includes an output terminal. The driver unit may include a plurality of transmitter coils. In some implementations, a different transmitter coil is coupled to each output terminal of a respective converter.

  • Publication number: 20200059121
Abstract: A wireless charging device includes a power source (106) configured to generate a direct current (DC) voltage signal. Also, the wireless charging device includes a driver unit (108) configured to receive the DC voltage signal and convert the DC voltage signal to a first alternating current (AC) voltage signal. Further, the wireless charging device includes a transmitting unit (110) including a resonant capacitor (114) and a resonant coil (116), coupled to the driver unit (108), wherein the transmitting unit (110) is configured to receive and transmit the first AC voltage signal. Additionally, the wireless charging device includes a control unit (112) configured to detect a receiver device (104) based on a change in at least one of a capacitive voltage across the resonant capacitor (114) and an inductive voltage across the resonant coil (116) if the receiver device (104) is positioned within a predetermined distance from the transmitting unit (110).
