  • Publication number: 20240134729
Abstract: Power sourcing equipment (“PSE”) can temporarily suspend or indefinitely disable powered devices (“PDs”) exhibiting faults for more efficient resource utilization and preservation of the PSE hardware. The PSE maintains a first counter for each connected PD that indicates a count of fault events detected for the PD. Upon detecting a count of fault events for a PD within a designated time period that exceeds a first threshold, the PSE suspends the PD and increments a second counter maintained for the PD that indicates how many times the PD has been suspended. The PSE suspends processing of/responding to communications received from the suspended PD for the duration of the suspension. Subsequent fault detection and suspension for the PD can continue until the suspension count of the PD exceeds a second threshold, which triggers disabling of the faulty PD by discontinuing processing of/responding to communications received from the PD indefinitely.

  • Patent number: 11956486
Abstract: Example apparatus disclosed herein are to identify encoded information present in audio obtained for a time period. Disclosed example apparatus are also to generate a signature of the audio for comparison with signatures of reference media. Disclosed example apparatus are also to generate a first determination that a media presentation device was in an off state during a first portion of the time period based on a gain level applied by an automatic gain controller to collect the audio. Disclosed example apparatus are also to override the first determination that the media presentation device was in the off state during the first portion of the time period with a second determination that the media presentation device was in an on state during the first portion of the time period, the second determination based on at least one of the encoded information or the signature.

  • Patent number: 11948588
Abstract: Example methods disclosed herein include accessing a secondary content schedule based on one or more watermarks detected in primary media content, the secondary content schedule to identify (i) one or more secondary content items and (ii) one or more first time values associated with the one or more secondary content items. Disclosed example methods also include comparing the one or more first time values associated with the one or more secondary content items in the secondary content schedule to second time values provided by a clock to determine whether to present a first one of the one or more secondary content items, the second time values based on a timestamp associated with the one or more watermarks detected in the primary media content. Disclosed example methods further include causing a media presentation device to display the first one of the secondary content items according to the secondary content schedule.

  • Publication number: 20240011287
Abstract: A floating connection fastening system employs a semi-flexible floating bushing having a sleeve with an axial slot which captures a fastener having a head, an unthreaded shank portion, a threaded portion and an intermediate reamer. An adapter mounts to the bushing/fastener assembly and receives a driver bit. The adapter defines an offset clearance. The floating connection is installed by driving the fastener through a non-load bearing member so as to form a bore and embed the fastener into a load bearing member. The floating bushing has a flange which engages the surface of the non-load bearing member. The installation may be performed in essentially a one-step procedure.

  • Patent number: 11808034
Abstract: A floating connection fastening system employs a semi-flexible floating bushing having a sleeve that may have an axial slot which captures a fastener having a head, an unthreaded shank portion and a threaded portion. The sleeve may have an outer primary surface and a plurality of protuberances that project outward from the outer primary surface. An offset cap mounts to the bushing/fastener assembly and receives a driver bit. The offset cap defines an offset clearance for installation of the fastener and bushing. The floating connection is installed by driving the fastener through a non-load bearing member so as to form a bore and threadably engage a load bearing member. The floating bushing has a flange which engages the surface of the non-load bearing member, and the sleeve is entirely received in the formed bore.

  • Publication number: 20230235549
Abstract: A hanger for attaching a structural beam to a building substructure has a first panel spaced from a second panel with a web extending therebetween. The web includes a bias member or compression member for biasing a beam upward. The web may include an opening through the bias member for receipt of a fastener driven from underneath the web into a beam received by the web, whereby driving of the fastener into the beam pulls the beam downward against the bias of the compression member. Additional versions exist with different leveraging surfaces to assist the fastener in pulling the beam downward. The hanger may also include one or more openings in the side panels, each opening associating with an opening in a rear panel to receive a fastener driven obliquely through a side panel opening into a beam and a building support member to attach the beam.

  • Publication number: 20200147765
Abstract: An adaptor for a fastener driver assembly employs a bi-positionable angle guide assembly mounted to a head having an entry reference surface defining an opening for a fastener. The adaptor provides a proper location and entry angle for the fastener for implementing various structural connections. A pivotal angle guide has a pair of reference engagement edges functionally configured to engage either an upper horizontal member or a lower horizontal member. A locator having a location reference is mounted to the guide assembly. In one mode, the reference edges, together with the location reference, define a proper entry location and normal angle for connecting a horizontal member, which may be either an upper plate or a lower plate, to a rim board or other structural member. The selected adaptor position is achieved by securing the adaptor in one of two stable angular positions relative to the drive axis of the fastener driver assembly.

  • Patent number: 9792646
Abstract: A method and a system to provide real-time bidding in online auction. For example, a system may comprise a notification module to generate and transmit a notification to a client machine. The notification may be generated based on a defined end time of a selected auction. A subscription module may establish electronic communication with the client machine responsive to a subscription message received from the client machine in response to the notification. In some instances, the electronic communication is established using a push technology. An event filter may filter an event from a plurality of events related to the selected auction where the filtered event is a highest received bid in the selected auction. The filtered event may then be pushed to the client machine by the subscription module.
