  • Patent number: 11140577
Abstract: Facilitating energy-efficient wireless communications for advanced networks (e.g., 4G, 5G, and beyond) with low-resolution digital-to-analog converters is provided herein. Operations of a system can comprise determining first values. Respective values of the first values can be digital samples of transmission and reception chains determined based on symbols transformed from bits. The operations can also comprise facilitating a quantization of the first values resulting in second values. Facilitating the quantization can be based on a cost function associated with processing the first values. Further, the operations can comprise outputting the second values as a continuous time signal over antennas of a base station device. The second values can comprise fewer values than the first values.

  • Patent number: 11140668
Abstract: A base station device can transmit data via multiple data channels to a single user equipment device. Each of the multiple data channels can be configured and scheduled via respective downlink control channels to the user equipment device. In an embodiment, the first data channel can be mapped to multiple layers, with a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) assigned based on the average channel quality indicator (CQI) of the layers. One or more of the layers can have a higher CQI however, capable of supporting an additional transmission. The base station device can then facilitate establishing a second data channel to the layer with the higher CQI. The MCS assigned to the second data traffic channel can be based on the CQI of the layer, or based on a difference between the average CQI of the layers and the CQI of the layer.

  • Publication number: 20210306129
Abstract: Time domain resource allocation is facilitated for a physical downlink shared channel. For instance, a physical downlink shared channel associated with a mobile device can be configured via a broadcast channel, and a data structure associated with the physical downlink shared channel corresponding to a physical downlink control channel can also be configured. The configured data structure can be sent to the mobile device to be utilized for physical downlink shared channel transmissions between the wireless network device and the mobile device. Additionally, the time domain resources can be allocated by transmitting a physical downlink shared channel transmission to the mobile device based on a condition associated with a radio resource control connection being determined to not have been satisfied.

  • Patent number: 11129037
Abstract: A cross link interference (CLI) measurement system is disclosed. The cross link interference measurement system can measure both unconstrained CLI that do not require any special constraints on the frame structure, and constrained CLI that does require special constraints on the frame structure (e.g., measurement gaps). The system does this in part by not only measuring reference signal received powers, but also determining load based on a power scaling of a reference signal and based on angle of arrival determinations.

  • Publication number: 20210289479
Abstract: To increase network efficiency, a user equipment (UE) can be appointed as a local manager to coordinate the allocation of resources used by other UEs. For example, the network can promote the UE as a local manager and assign the local manager a resource pool. The local manager can then broadcast synchronization signals to let the other UEs associate themselves with the local manager. After the other UEs are synced with the local manager, the local manager can allocate resources to the other UEs. Based on report data regarding the local managers management procedures, the network can maintain the UE as the local manager or demote the UE from local manager status.

  • Publication number: 20210273656
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining a received channel-encoded data block having information bits, a transmitted error-check value, and redundant code bits. The redundant code bits correspond to a channel code applied to the received channel-encoded data block prior to transmission via a communication channel. A channel code type is identified and responsive to it being systematic, the information bits and the transmitted error-check value are obtained without decoding according to the channel code. The received channel-encoded data block is checked according to the transmitted error-check value to obtain a result. Responsive to the result not indicating an error, extracting the information bits without decoding the received channel-encoded data block according to the channel code. Responsive to the result indicating an error, decoding the received channel-encoded data block according to the channel code to obtain decoded information bits. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11108506
Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for a retransmission system that uses a hybrid system to signal to a receiver the retransmission of codeblock groups to reduce network overhead and bandwidth. The amount of bandwidth needed to signal to a receiver which codeblock groups are being retransmitted is directly proportional to the number of codeblock groups. Therefore, during retransmission, if the number of a codeblock groups is below a predetermined threshold, then explicit signaling can be performed, where the transmitter sends a bit map identifying the codeblock groups being retransmitted. If the number of codeblock groups is above the threshold however, can use a codeblock group confirmation bit in the control information sent to the receiver, where the values of the bit can inform the receiver how the retransmission will be performed.

  • Publication number: 20210266211
Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards having a transmitter in a wireless network generate and map reference signal sequences (e.g., for demodulation or other reference signal usage) so that the reference signal sequences are non-repetitive in a resource block. Avoiding repetition of the reference signal sequences reduces the peak-to-average power ratio in orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. In one aspect, a transmitter device generates different reference signal sequences to avoid repetition of resource signal sequences, and maps the different reference signal sequences to appropriate (different) resource elements of a resource block. In one implementation, the different reference signal sequences can be based on different indexes of antenna ports. In an alternative implementation, the different reference signal sequences can be based on different code division multiplexing groups.

  • Patent number: 11096040
Abstract: One subscriber identity module (SIM) can transmit data in active mode while another SIM is in an idle mode. However, paging for the SIM in idle mode can occur based on a discontinuous reception configuration (DRX) cycle of the active SIM. For example, when the DRX of the active SIM indicates that the active SIM is in an idle state, then the SIM that is currently in an idle state can send messages and vice versa. The DRX cycle information can be exchanged between a first core network and a second core network. Each core network can belong to the same or different mobile network operator and can have separate radio access networks (RAN) or share the RAN. The DRX cycle information and/or a time-division multiplexing (TDM) pattern can be exchanged over the air via a system information broadcast message.

  • Patent number: 11088745
Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards indicating to a receiver (e.g., a user equipment) which antenna ports are assigned for channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS). The indicator can be sent as radio resource control configuration data and/or by physical layer signaling such as in downlink control information. The receiver computes CSI based on the assigned antenna port or ports, and the reported (e.g., joint) CSI helps avoid mismatched joint CSI used for scheduling when multiple transmit and receive points (TRPs) are communicating with the user equipment.

  • Publication number: 20210242979
Abstract: Intelligent hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback can better support link adaption. Thus, in addition to the traditional HARQ feedback, which is to relay acknowledgement (ACK) and negative acknowledgement (NAK) data based on a decoding result, a new state for the HARQ feedback can be represented as “ACK+”. Consequently, ACK+ can be used to indicate to the network that a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) of a current data packet is too conservative, and the user equipment (UE) is capable of supporting a more aggressive MCS.
