  • Publication number: 20170250989
Abstract: Various embodiments provide an approach to controlled access of websites based on website content, and profile for the person consuming the data. In operation, machine learning techniques are used to classify the websites based on community and social media inputs, crowdsourced data, as well as access rules implemented by parents or system administrators. Feedback from users/admins of the system, including the instances of allowed or denied access to websites, in conjunction with other relevant parameters, is used for iterative machine learning techniques.

  • Publication number: 20170232078
Abstract: Provided are compositions and methods for prophylaxis and/or therapy of ErbB1-positive cancer. The compositions include pharmaceutical preparations that contain isolated or recombinant or modified peptidase D (PEPD) proteins. The methods include prophylaxis and/or therapy of ErbB1-positive cancer by administering a PEPD to an individual who has or is at risk for developing ErbB1-positive cancer.

  • Patent number: 9486434
Abstract: Provided is a composition that contains a mixture of broccoli seed and mustard seed. Before mixing the broccoli seed with the mustard seed, the broccoli seed is subjected to baking and a pressurized heat treatment. The broccoli seed is baked at a temperature of at least 200 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 60 minutes, and is subjected to a pressurized heat treatment of at least 200 degrees Fahrenheit at a pressure of at least 10 pounds/square inch for at least 5 minutes. Also provided is a method for therapy and/or prophylaxis of bladder cancer in an individual. The method entails administering orally to the individual a composition that contains an isothiocyanate (ITC) or a derivative thereof such that the administration inhibits the growth and/or recurrence of bladder cancer. Nutraceutical compositions are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20130304866
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for making cloud storage more easily accessible using a wireless device, such as, e.g., a wireless Universal Serial Bus (USB) dongle/modem, mobile hotspot device, etc. In particular, the wireless USB device is used to emulate a standard mass storage class device, thus allowing a user local data access to the wireless USB device. This “local” data access is then translated to remote data access with respect to the actual cloud storage allowing cloud storage to be effectuated without additional login procedures and without the opening/installation of cloud storage-specific applications.

  • Patent number: 7744854
Abstract: This invention provides a method for a method for optimizing the regimen for the administration of chemotherapeutic agents. The method comprises administration of a selenium compound to an individual, monitoring the modulation of tumor vessel maturation (TVM) to identify an optimal time for administration of a chemotherapeutic agent. This invention also provides a method to determine whether or not a tumor is likely to be a responder to chemotherapy. The method comprises administration of a selenium compound to an individual and determining whether or not an increase in TVM is observed. An increased TVM following administration of selenium is an indication that the tumor will likely respond the chemotherapy.
