  • Patent number: 11444664
Abstract: A system and methods for selective transmission and reception for stationary wireless networks. The system and method include an end user equipment, a primary base station, a core network, and a selective server. The end user equipment transmits a request for transmission to the primary base station receiver. The primary base station authenticates the end user equipment using a cellular network authentication process. The primary base station then searches for a time slot data for the end user equipment from the selective server and determines whether the time slot is open for transmission, steers a beam towards the end user equipment when time slot is open for transmission. The primary base station then enables transmission from the end user equipment, wherein the enabling is performed by the primary base station. The core network receives the transmission from the end user equipment.

  • Patent number: 11284255
Abstract: A lightweight, fast, and reliable authentication mechanism compatible with the 5G D2D ProSe standard mechanisms is provided. A distributed authentication with a delegation-based scheme avoids repeated access to the 5G core network key management functions. Hence, a legitimate user equipment device (e.g., a drone) is authorized by the cellular network (e.g., 5G cellular network) via offering a proxy signature to authenticate itself to other drones. Test results demonstrate that the protocol is lightweight and reliable.

  • Patent number: 9277527
Abstract: A capability for determining an offset of a wireless access node is presented. The determined offset of the wireless access node may be used by a location determination process associated with the wireless access node and configured to determine locations of mobile wireless devices that are communicating via the wireless access node. The offset of a wireless access node may be determined by determining a known location of a device when the device communicates via the wireless access node, determining an estimated location of the device when the device communicates via the wireless access node where the estimated location of the device is determined using the location determination process associated with the wireless access node, and determining the offset of the wireless access node based on the known location of the device and the estimated location of the device.

  • Patent number: 9042880
Abstract: Method and apparatus for uploading content from a user terminal in response to a request triggered at the user terminal to upload content is provided. An exemplary method includes initiating a test call at the user terminal to a wireless network in response to an indication to upload content from the user terminal, obtaining user-channel information for the test call and network-level state information for the user terminal during the test call, determining whether a user-channel condition and a network-level condition are satisfied based on the user-channel information and network-level state information respectively, and uploading the content to the wireless network in response to the user-channel condition and the network-level condition being satisfied. The user terminal obtains at the user terminal user-level state information and triggers the indication to upload content from the user terminal if the user-level condition is determined to be satisfied.

  • Patent number: 6724780
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for conveying information over a communication network such as a Digital Loop Carrier (DLC) network free of in-band signaling information for at least a portion of an established communication between at least two users so as to reduce the information error rate associated with the established communication. For communication links that support robbed-bit signaling (RBS), the RBS signaling is disabled to allow the communication link to be operated in a clear channel mode. When appropriate, operations can be switch from the clear channel mode back to the RBS mode. Embodiments are described for one-stage DLC systems having a local digital switch (LDS) connected to a remote terminal (RT) by a communication link conforming to either the TR-303 protocol or the TR-008 protocol. In addition, embodiments are described for two-stage DLC systems that also have a distance terminal (DT) connected to the RT by a second communication link.
