  • Patent number: 11300515
Abstract: Systems and methods assessing the accuracy of at least one localization from a single molecule localization microscopy (SMLM) dataset containing a plurality of localizations are described. The systems and methods calculate a Wasserstein-induced flux (WIF) value indicative of a confidence in the accuracy of a localization within the SMLM data set.

Date of Patent: April 12, 2022
    Assignee: Washington University
Inventors: Matthew Lew, Arye Nehorai, Hesamaldin Mazidisharfabadi

  • Patent number: 6754356
Abstract: A feedback cancellation system for a hearing instrument is described. The feedback cancellation system includes both a constrained adaptive filter, the constrained adaptive filter can be constrained by initiation coefficients, as well as an adaptive gain modification. The adaptive gain modification allows the feedback cancellation to respond to substantially different environments from the test environment used to derive the initiation coefficients for the constrained adaptive filter.

  • Patent number: 5315308
Abstract: A method for determining a direction of arrival of an electromagnetic wave comprises the steps of: measuring sets of electric and magnetic components of an electromagnetic wave as sensed from a lumped antenna structure; finding a cross product for each measured set of electric and magnetic components so as to derive an orthogonal vector value therefrom; deriving the Castesian components for each direction vector value so determined; averaging like component vectors for each measured electric and magnetic vector component set over a plurality of measurements; and deriving a direction vector from the averaged vector values.
