Abstract: A system and method for manipulating an electrical potential of a plurality of plants, may include electrically and mechanically connecting plant electrodes to a plurality of plants, connecting the plant electrodes to a DC power source, connecting the DC power source to a growth medium via a grounding electrode; and providing DC power to the plurality of plants. The connection of the plurality of plant electrodes to the plurality of plants may include inserting at least a portion of each plant electrode into inner layers of the plant, in proximity to a lowest branching point of each plant.
