  • Publication number: 20250056407
Abstract: According to an embodiment, a system and method is disclosed for efficient wake up in a wireless communication device for receiving beacons without significantly affecting the battery power and data throughput. Wireless device receives beacons from network elements such as access points. If beacons are not received as scheduled within defined intervals, then the wireless device determines a pattern of beacon reception timings and uses a weighted score process to select the best possible reception timing pattern and uses it as the schedule for receiving beacons on going forward basis, thus avoiding staying awake at all time to receive misaligned beacons.

  • Publication number: 20240414648
Abstract: A controller is arranged to: receive a first decoded beacon frame which includes a first indication of a first data transmission; receive a second decoded beacon frame which includes a second indication of a second data transmission; compare the first and second decoded beacon frames to determine common bytes in the first and second decoded beacon frames; determine an expected time of receiving the common bytes in a third beacon frame; control a device to enter into a low power mode; and control the device to wake up from the low power mode at a time to receive and decode at least a portion of the third beacon frame, in which the time to wake up is based on the expected time to receive the common bytes instead of based on an expected time to receive a preamble at a start of the third beacon frame.

  • Patent number: 9246530
Abstract: A communication device includes a DC input component, a transmitting component an envelope detecting component, a receiving component, a storage component and a comparator. The DC input component generates a first direct current signal and a second direct current signal. The transmitting component generates a first transmitted signal based on the first direct current signal and a second transmitted signal based on the second direct current signal. The envelope detecting component generates a first envelope signal based on the first transmitted signal and generates a second envelope signal based on the second transmitted signal. The receiving component generates a first received signal based on the first envelope signal and a second received signal based on the second envelope signal. The storage component has a priori information stored therein. The comparator outputs a correlation signal based on the first received signal, the second received signal and the a priori information.
