    Abstract: A radiator member for efficiently releasing heat to the surrounding area. Cordierite powder and copper powder are mixed in a base material of dimethyl silicone. Near one surface of the radiator member the mixture ratio of copper powder is increased, while in the opposite surface the mixture ratio of cordierite powder is increased. By bringing the surface of the radiator member, containing a larger ratio of copper powder in contact with a heat generating element, heat from the heat generating element can be quickly conducted through the highly conductive copper powder. The cordierite powder, which is heated by heat transmitted through the copper powder from the heat generating element, converts the heat into far infrared rays, and then releases the rays to the atmosphere. Heat is thus efficiently released to the surrounding area.

    Abstract: A conductive sheet for shielding electromagnetic waves of this invention has high flexibility in the same direction as a wire. The conductive sheet 10, therefore, is easy to bend along the shape of the wire. Additionally, since conductive sheet 10 preferably maintains its shape in a direction perpendicular to the wire, it is possible to make a conductive link, that is, to make an electrical contact easily, only by applying slight pressure to conductive sheet 10 to change its shape. Moreover, since the metals composing the warp and the weft of the conductive sheet keep the potential difference of the metals below a predetermined voltage at the contact point of both metals, contact corrosion as a practical problem at the predetermined point is eliminated.

    Abstract: Material for a housing of electronic components, a compound of synthetic resin, which contains ferrite powder and carbon fiber, is bestowed with original properties of the synthetic resin, such as lightness and freedom of molding, high permeability brought by ferrite powder, and high conductivity and mechanical properties by a designated carbon fiber. The material is made into a light housing with various shapes by injection molding or vacuum molding. The housing concentrates on its surface magnetic flux from external low-frequency field and shields the electronic components from electromagnetic wave noise and low-frequency magnetic field, preventing electromagnetic troubles of the electronic components.

    Abstract: In the present invention, a method for producing strip cable provided on its periphery with the meshed conductive metal or the woven fiber coated with a conductive material. The method produces a flat cable having multiple signal conductive members encase in an insulating material with the mesh metal outer layer fastened to the outer surface of the insulating material. The strip cable is thus protected from electromagnetic waves. Since the strip cable fails to function as an antenna, the electronic equipment connected to the strip cable does not require a shielding material. By using the strip cable provided with a electromagnetic-shielding effect, electromagnetic waves can be avoided easily and inexpensively. In addition, the varieties of design can be allowed for the electronic equipment.

    Abstract: A sealing and shielding structure of the present invention comprises an elastic sealing member and an electromagnetic shideling member provided in a cavity formed at least in one of a first member and a second member both of which have conductive abutting faces. The elastic sealing member is, for example, slightly larger than the electromagnetic shielding member so as to be pressed between the first and the second members. Accordingly, when the first and the second members are closed, the elastic sealing member is compressed and deformed to push the electromagnetic shielding member so that the electromagnetic shielding member closely contacts with the conductive abutting faces of the first and the second members. Consequently, the sealing and shielding structure can produce a prominent electromagnetic wave shielding effect because of the electromagnetic shielding member kept in close contact with the conductive abutting faces of the first and the second members.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic-shielding gasket of this invention is composed of an elastic body. The elastic body contains a filler of whisker-shaped carbon fiber with a micro diameter. The carbon fiber is developed from ultrafine particles of a high-melting metal and/or the compound of the high-melting metal through a vapor-phase system. The carbon fiber developed in the vapor phase is uniformly dispersed in the elastic body. Consequently, the electromagnetic-shielding gasket has a uniform low electric resistivity and an elasticity. By fitting the electromagnetic-shielding gasket onto gaps in the housing of electronic components, the housing is kept watertight and airtight, and electromagnetic waves are prevented from passing through the gaps.

    Abstract: The conductive spacer of this invention comprises a supporting member and locking members extending from both ends of the supporting member. When the locking members pass through holes in printed boards, the conductive spacer secures the printed boards a certain distance. The conductive spacer is molded as one piece from synthetic resin mixed with whisker-shaped carbon fiber with a small diameter as a conductive filler. The conductive spacer is thus durable. Additionally, the carbon fiber reinforces thin portions in the conductive spacer. This durable, conductive spacer can equalize ground potential of the printed boards.
