Patent number: 11929988Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for dynamic virtual private network concentrators (VPNC) gateway selection and on-demand VRF-ID configuration. A dynamic VPNC gateway selection component can dynamically route to a particular VPNC gateway based on multiple user-specific factors, including: a) behavior of users on the network; and b) performance of a destination service/device. A dynamic VPNC gateway selection component can rank a user based on one or more factors relating to the behavior of the user. Also, the dynamic VPNC gateway selection component can determine whether a VPNC gateway at a data center is healthy, and whether a destination service at the data center is healthy. The dynamic VPNC gateway selection component can dynamically select a VPNC gateway from a plurality of VPNC gateways at the data center for communicating forwarded traffic from the user based on the user's ranking if either the VPNC gateway or the service are unhealthy.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 2021Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LPInventors: Gopal Gupta, Abhinesh Mishra, Isaac Theogaraj, Aseem Sethi

Patent number: 9135195Abstract: Systems and methods for predicting electronic component behavior in bus-based systems are described. In some embodiments, a method may include identifying a first bus access request pending in a request queue, the first bus access request associated with a first master component operably coupled to a bus. The method may also include calculating a first wait time corresponding to the first bus access request, the first wait time indicative of a length of time after which the first master component is expected to be granted access to the bus. The method may further include, in response to the first wait time meeting a threshold value, issuing a command to the first master component. In some embodiments, various techniques disclosed herein may be implemented, for example, in a computer system, an integrated circuit, or the like.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 2012Date of Patent: September 15, 2015Assignee: FREESCASLE SEMICONDUCTOR, INC.Inventors: Aseem Gupta, Magdy Samuel Abadir

Publication number: 20130111234Abstract: The power and data hub is a fan-less modular electronic system having a main housing member that forms a heat sink, which houses an electronic switch fabric backbone. The electronic switch fabric backbone connects multiple modular slots using a connection fabric backplane, which provides low voltage power input and command protocols. Cross-matrix switches are provided to interconnect stand-alone audio-visual, computer and other data, such as audio I/O, video I/O, and outputs via the integrated switch fabric backbone. Multifunction modular cards are provided and securely insert into modular slots disposed in the main housing unit. The system includes a control and DC power injector management unit for power control of connected units. Power management instructions can be issued to the main unit and modular cards. A network-based management utility controls, monitors and records operational parameters, and also stores and translates programmed instructions to the device.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2012Publication date: May 2, 2013Inventor: Aseem Gupta

Patent number: 8127258Abstract: A method of designing a data processing device design includes determining thermal profile information to indicate a predicted operating temperature for a device instance in the design. The device instance is associated with a first library cell having a relatively high threshold voltage characteristic. A cost function value is determined for the device instance based on the thermal profile information and based on timing information for data paths associated with the device instance. Based on the cost function value, the library cell associated with the device instance can be changed to a cell having a higher threshold voltage characteristic.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2008Date of Patent: February 28, 2012Assignee: Freescale Semiconductor, Inc.Inventors: Magdy S. Abadir, Aseem Gupta, Kamal S. Khouri, Puneet Sharma
