  • Publication number: 20220408448
Abstract: Implementations disclosed describe techniques and systems to facilitate efficient operations of wireless networks organized in a topology of communicating nodes. Techniques include cascade synchronization of various nodes of the network by generating and maintaining a common time using times associated with ordered communications between nodes. The common time maintained by the network allows performance of synchronous action for precise industrial, medical, and testing applications. The described techniques and systems further include management of communication windows between different nodes in a way that facilitates fast and efficient propagation of data collected by the network from multiple source nodes to one or more destination nodes.

  • Patent number: 9225393
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining whether a companion communication device is beyond a proximity of a primary communication device are provided. In some aspects, a system includes an analysis module configured to determine whether a wireless transaction between the primary communication device and the companion communication device is at a conclusion. The system also includes a communications module configured to emit a sensing signal based on the determination of whether the transaction is at the conclusion. The sensing signal is insufficient to elicit a response from the companion communication device. The system also includes a detection module configured to detect a present parameter associated with the emitted sensing signal. The analysis module is configured to determine a parameter change between the present parameter and a reference parameter, and to determine whether the companion communication device is beyond the proximity of the primary communication device based on the parameter change.

  • Patent number: 8849205
Abstract: A Bluetooth low energy (BLE) device receives advertising packets from an advertising BLE device. The BLE device filters the received advertising packets utilizing hardware to search for the advertiser. If the advertiser is not found by the hardware, the packet filtering continues utilizing firmware. Device identity information, comprising non-private and/or private device identities, of preferred BLE devices is partitioned to form a different white list for the hardware, firmware, and host, respectively, to concurrently support privacy and white listing. If the advertiser is found by the hardware, the hardware sends a response to the advertiser following a successful CRC check performed in the hardware. If the advertiser is found by the firmware, the device identity information of the advertiser is inserted in the white list for the hardware. The host may be awakened based on the device configuration and/or attribute type information of the received advertising packets.

  • Patent number: 8744351
Abstract: A relay host wireless device is paired with a target host wireless device over a secure link. The relay host wireless device is operable to acquire link security information, which is associated with a link between the target host wireless device and a wireless end-point device, from the target host wireless device. The relay host wireless device is enabled to establish a link with the target host wireless device by faking its identity as an assumed identity of the target host wireless device. • Patent number: 8203977
Abstract: Aspects of a method and system for half duplex audio in a Bluetooth stereo headset are provided. A service type and/or service activity levels may be detected over a link in a duplex communication system. The link may be dynamically changed according to the detected service activity levels in both direction of the link. The duplex communication system may be a communication system capable of supporting duplex communication, for example, a Bluetooth system, a 3GPP system, a WiMAX system, or a WiFi system. The link may be a synchronous connection-oriented (SCO) link such as the SCO link. The duplex communication system may be enabled to determine an operating mode, whether symmetric or asymmetric, based on the detected service type and/or the detected service activity levels over the SCO link. In this regard, the SCO link may be dynamically switched from symmetric to asymmetric operating mode and vice versa.
