Abstract: A kit, system and method for positioning a camera assembly for automated visual inspection of at least one item, are provided. Provided are a camera assembly and a mounting assembly adapted to support the camera assembly wherein the mounting assembly is adapted for assembly and installation by an untrained user and wherein the installation can be guided by a planner application running on a computing device; such that the FOV of the camera assembly includes the item to be inspected.
