Abstract: Provided is an apparatus for weighing an animal which includes a weight bearing surface configured to allow an animal to bear its weight thereon, a weight measurement device having lateral surfaces and configured such that the weight of an animal disposed on the weight bearing surface is measureable by the weight measurement device, and one or more barriers disposed about the weight measurement device. The one or more barriers are configured to limit or prevent contact of the weight measurement device with a liquid travelling toward the weight measurement device.

An example medical imaging probe may have, at least, a transducer disposed underneath a contact surface of the medical imaging probe, with the transducer configured to transmit and receive signals based on a medical imaging technique; a support structure disposed underneath the transducer; and a thermally conductive shock absorber (TCSA) layer disposed between the transducer and the support structure, with the thermally conductive shock absorber (TCSA) layer is configured to facilitate both of thermal transfer in a direction from the contact surface into the support structure, and absorbing at least a portion of impact force applied to at least the contact surface. The support structure may include a heat sink.

Abstract: Provided is a reel for a conductor of an electric fence. The reel includes a bobbin, a frame for supporting the bobbin, and a connector. The connector can be two jaws and can have passages to connect the reel to a support such as a conductor of an existing fence or a tube of a vehicle. One of the jaws can be wide for stability. The connector can have an electrical conductor for connecting to the support and electrifying the conductor. The connector can also be operated by a trigger and can have a locking mechanism. The frame can be a one-piece frame made of plastics material. The reel can have a spreader and a hot-up bar. The reel can have a crank that can be disengaged from the bobbin and a brake that is applied when the crank is disengaged.
