    Abstract: A method and system is disclosed for testing web-based applications. In one embodiment, the response time of one or more web pages is measured. The loading of a web page is initiated. A first event is received indicating preparation to navigate to the web page. A timer mechanism is started. A second event is received indicating that the web page has completed loading. The timer mechanism is stopped. The elapsed time for the web page to load is determined. In an alternative embodiment, a system for integrated testing of web-based applications is described. Multiple testing functions included in the integrated testing system include performance time measurement, URL recording and replay and HTML link validation.
