  • Publication number: 20210208808
Abstract: Aspects of a storage device are provided which allow for partitioning of memory based on partition commands received from a host device. The storage device includes a memory configured to store data, and a controller configured to partition the memory into multiple partitions based on a partition command received from the host device. The controller is further configured to switch from a first partition to a second partition in response to a partition switching command received from the host device, and the controller may execute a command received from the host device on data associated with the second partition. When the controller receives the command from the host device associated with data including a logical address, the controller may update the logical address based on the second partition and execute the command based on the updated logical address.

  • Patent number: 11037432
Abstract: Systems and methods of security monitoring using a learning process are provided. Intelligent security systems may perform a learning process to observe the paths of travel by occupants, as detected by various sensors distributed throughout a monitored location over a period of time. After the security system is initially installed, the system may learn the various paths taken by occupants of the house by keeping track of the sequence in which the sensors are activated due to normal human activity. Based on this data, a fully connected graph of sensors with all valid interconnections between sensors is available to the security system.

  • Patent number: 11012696
Abstract: In some examples, a computing device may receive a request for a video segment captured by a particular camera, where the request specifies a date, a start time, and a length of the video segment. The computing device may identify stored data associated with the video segment in a storage device based on the date, the start time, the length, and an identifier associated with the particular camera and retrieve the stored data from the storage device. The computing device may determine that the stored data includes a subset of the video frames that were sent from the particular camera and excludes a remainder of the video frames and regenerate the remainder of the video frames based on the stored data to create regenerated data. The computing device may reconstruct the reconstructed video segment by merging the stored data with the regenerated data and provide the reconstructed video segment.

  • Patent number: 11010190
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments relate to techniques for improving startup times of a cloud-based virtual servers in response to a spike in service usage (although other applications are contemplated and described). According to some embodiments, in response to a request to provision a new virtual server in a cluster, high-priority services (e.g., those that enable the server to respond to system health checks or that support an application providing the service) are started while lower-priority services are delayed. In some embodiments, prior to receiving such a request, a new server may be started and then hibernated to create a “hot spare.” When the request is received, the hot spare may be taken out of hibernation to quickly bring the hot spare online. It is contemplated that the delayed-startup and hot spare embodiments may be used together to further improve performance.

  • Patent number: 11003818
Abstract: A method includes parsing and compiling a software code that includes a constraint bitwise operation with a first operand associated with a first constraint range and a second operand associated with a second constraint range. A first and a second plurality of ranges that spans the first and second constraint range are generated. In some embodiments, each constrained range is converted into a binary format having an upper bit portion and a lower bit portion. The upper bit portion for the each range remains unchanged. A resultant range associated with the constraint bitwise operation is determined based on performing the constraint bitwise operation on the first and the second plurality of ranges.

  • Patent number: 10993164
Abstract: Technologies for path selection in wireless mesh network of wireless network devices are described. One method includes receiving a first response from a second mesh network device and a second response wirelessly from the second mesh network device, the first response associated with a first request to establish a first wireless path with a third mesh network device and the second response associated with a second request to establish a second wireless path with a fourth mesh network device. The method determines that the first response and the second response include a same sequential number (SN) for the second mesh network device. The method forwards the first response to the third mesh network device and forwards the second response to the fourth mesh network device.

  • Publication number: 20210117554
Abstract: Systems and methods for peer-to-peer secure document exchange are disclosed. The system may allow a document provider to securely transmit a certified document to a document verifier using decentralized storage. The verifier system may generate a session key pair and transmit the session public key to a trusted API provider. The trusted API provider may generate a session nonce. The verifier system may transmit the session nonce to the provider system. The provider system may use the session nonce to retrieve the session public key. The provider system may encrypt a certified document using the session public key and store the encrypted certified document in the decentralized storage. The verifier system may retrieve the encrypted certified document by polling the trusted API provider based on the session nonce. The verifier system may decrypt the encrypted certified document using the session private key.

  • Patent number: 10979885
Abstract: Network hardware devices organized in a wireless mesh network (WMN). A first mesh network device performs a three-stage discovery protocol; in a first stage, a discovery scan uses a first radio to find a set of neighbor devices in proximity; in a second stage, a discovery locate probe process is performed on a secondary discovery channel that is from a same frequency band group as a first DFS channel; in a third stage, a CAC is performed via the first DFS channel and, after the CAC, a neighbor peering request is sent and a neighbor peering response is received from a second mesh network device via a second radio. The neighbor peering response confirms establishment of a first communication channel between the second radio of the first mesh network device and a radio of the second mesh network device over the first DFS channel.

  • Patent number: 10966277
Abstract: Technologies for preventing insider attacks in a wireless network are described. A processor of a first device receives a disconnect frame with i) a source address that identifies a wireless access point (WAP) device in a wireless network and ii) a destination address that the disconnect frame is addressed to all devices in the wireless network. The processor sends a frame to the WAP device after expiration of a configurable delay and receives an acknowledgment frame from the WAP device. The processor determines that the disconnect frame is a non-authorized disconnect frame received from a second device and is not to be processed. The processor can increment a first counter value to a second counter value, the second counter value indicating how many times a non-authorized disconnect frame is received at the first device. The processor sends a management frame with the second counter value to the WAP device.
