  • Publication number: 20230076120
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems are disclosed for reducing latency during IRAT re-selection in the presence of race conditions. When a UE initiates an IRAT re-selection procedure, and concurrently initiates a call setup procedure, a race condition may result, in which the UE's NAS layer prioritizes the call setup procedure, while the RRC layer prioritizes the IRAT re-selection procedure. This may result in failure of the call setup procedure, which may lead to a user needing to re-initiate the call, resulting in poor user experience and significant latency. To prevent this, the UE may cache a message and/or other information relevant to the call setup procedure, until the IRAT re-selection procedure is complete. The UE may then proceed to complete the call setup procedure. The message may be cached, e.g., at the NAS layer or the RRC layer of the cellular modem, or by an application processor.

  • Publication number: 20230074681
Abstract: Techniques for processing complex natural language inputs are described. A complex natural language input may be semantically tagged and parsed to identify individual clauses in the complex natural language input. An execution graph may be generated to represent the clauses and their dependencies. Nodes of the execution graph may be processed using NLU processing and/or a knowledge graph or other information storage and retrieval techniques, and results of such processing may be used to update clause variables with specific entities in the execution graph.

  • Publication number: 20230065679
Abstract: Presented herein are techniques to address a lack of path maximum transmission unit discovery in the context of, e.g., the control and provisioning of wireless access point (CAPWAP) protocol for multicast communications. In one embodiment, IPv4-IPv6-IPv4 network address translation is used to avoid a conservative maximum transmission unit size. In another embodiment, unicast and multicast path maximum transmission unit discovery techniques are executed to set the maximum transmission unit size for multicast communications.

  • Publication number: 20230069750
Abstract: Aspects are described for a user equipment (UE) comprising a transceiver configured to enable wireless communication with a base station, and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver. The processor is configured to enter a radio resource control (RRC) inactive mode and camp on a first cell. The processor is further configured to detect an out of service (OOS) status and set a RAN-based notification area (RNA) parameter, wherein the UE refrains from discarding an access stratum (AS) inactive context based on the RNA parameter. The processor is further configured to camp on a second cell and transmit a message to the base station to report an RNA update responsive to camping on the second cell.

  • Publication number: 20230031893
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system and method for controlling oxygen supply equipments. The system is equipped with pressure sensors coupled to the oxygen supply equipments. Depending on the oxygen supply selected by a user for the patient, the pressure sensor monitors the current pressure of the preset oxygen supply during an inhalation phase corresponding to the patient. If the current pressure is less than a minima value or if a pressure drop rate is higher than or equal to a threshold rate or both, the system generates an alarm notifying the user to check the preset oxygen supply and in the meanwhile switches the preset oxygen supply from one oxygen supply equipment to another oxygen supply equipment or vice-versa.

  • Publication number: 20230021653
Abstract: Keyword bids determined from sparse data are described. Initially, a portfolio optimization platform identifies which keywords included in a portfolio of keywords are low-impression keywords. This platform trains a machine learning model to generate bids for the low-impression keywords with historical data from a search engine. In particular, the platform trains this machine learning model according to an algorithm suited for training with sparse amounts of data, e.g., a temporal difference learning algorithm. In contrast, the platform uses different models, trained according to different algorithms than the low-impression keyword model, to generate bids for keywords determined not to be low-impression keywords. Once the low-impression keyword model is trained offline, the platform deploys the model for use online to generate actual bids for the low-impression keywords and submits them to the search engine.

  • Publication number: 20230028100
Abstract: Capacitively isolated current-loaded or current-driven charge pump circuits and related methods transfer electrical energy from a primary side to a secondary side over a capacitive isolation boundary, using a controlled current source to charge isolation capacitors with constant current, as opposed to current impulses, while maintaining output voltage within tolerance. The charge pump circuits provide DC-to-DC converters that can be used in isolated power supplies, particularly in low-power applications and in such devices as sensor transmitters that have separate electrical ground planes. The devices and methods transfer electrical energy over an isolated capacitive barrier in a manner that is efficient, inexpensive, and reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI).

  • Patent number: 11553522
Abstract: Technologies directed to reducing medium access contention within a wireless network are described. One method includes a first wireless device (e.g., an access point (AP) or mesh station) receiving first data with a first schedule from a second wireless device. Both wireless devices operate on a first channel or an adjacent channel in a wireless network. The first schedule defines a first interval during which the second wireless device transmits or receives frames on the first channel or the second channel. The first wireless device generates a second schedule that defines a second interval during which the first wireless device transmits or receives frames on the first or second channels, the second interval being non-overlapping with the first interval. First wireless device sends second data with the second schedule to the second AP device and communicates a data frame with a device connected to the first wireless device according to the second schedule.

  • Publication number: 20220374316
Abstract: A technique provides efficient data failover by creation and deployment of a protection policy that ensures maintenance of frequent common snapshots between sites of a multi-site data replication environment. A global constraint optimizer executes on a node of a cluster to create the protection policy for deployment among other nodes of clusters at the sites. Constraints such as protection rules (PRs) specifying, e.g., an amount of tolerable data loss are applied to a category of data designated for failover from a primary site over a network to a plurality of (secondary and tertiary) sites typically located at geographically separated distances. The optimizer processes the PRs to compute parameters such as frequency of snapshot generation and replication among the sites, as well as retention of the latest common snapshot maintained at each site to create a recovery point and configuration of the protection policy that reduces network traffic for efficient use of the network among the sites.

  • Patent number: 11507608
Abstract: A method, system and computer-usable medium are disclosed for improving search engine ranking of a landing page using automated analysis of landing pages of third-party entities. Certain embodiments include receiving, at a user interface, a primary keyword associated with a targeted landing page of a primary entity; transmitting the primary keyword to a search engine; and receiving a search engine results page from the search engine. The search engine results page may be used to identify landing pages of third-party entities having a higher rank than the targeted landing page. Secondary keywords occurring on the third-party landing pages may be identified and analyzed to determine whether inclusion of the secondary keyword in the targeted landing page will increase ranking of the targeted landing page in the search engine.
