  • Publication number: 20240104337
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems for an artificial intelligence (AI) network. The present implementations more specifically relate to an AI network on an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) operable as a reconfigurable multilayer image processor capable of implementing different AI models. In some aspects, each layer in the multilayer AI network includes a plurality of multiplier-accumulator (MAC) units, and at least one layer is partitioned into a plurality of blocks of MAC units that are reconfigurable to operate independently or to operate in one or more combinations of blocks of MAC units. The arrangement of the plurality of blocks of MAC units in the at least one layer enables implementation of one or more virtual layers, reconfiguration of the input depth size, reconfiguration of the output feature map size, or a combination thereof, which may be used to executes a desired AI model for image processing.

  • Patent number: 8016187
Abstract: The present invention proposes to streamline the process by replacing most of the manual entry and mobile navigation through a mobile client application that will allow the user to [a] capture a barcode using a camera phone or any other camera-equipped communicating device such as a PDA with a camera attachment or a internet connected computer with a web-cam and [b] automatically send—or prepare the transmission of—the relevant information to the vendor directly or through the usage of a centralized platform.

  • Patent number: 7387250
Abstract: The present invention enables users to instantly purchase desired items with their mobile device (e.g., cell phone/PDA) while viewing services such as the Home Shopping Network, QVC, etc. on television or the Internet (using a PC). When the service displays a product on-screen, a barcode would also be displayed associated with the product being sold. To purchase the item, the user utilizes a camera-equipped mobile device to scan the on-screen barcode. The barcode information and user information is then sent to the vendor's server where it is processed. The preexisting transaction system is used to complete the user's transaction. Once the transaction has been complete, the vendor's server sends a confirmation message to the mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20050082370
Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method for decoding barcodes from images acquired using a mobile device. Generally, the barcode image is acquired via a digital camera attached to the mobile device. After the barcode image has been acquired, the image is sent to a server via a wireless network which enhances the barcode image and subsequently decodes the barcode information. The server processes the barcode information and transmits media content related to the barcode back to the mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20050029356
Abstract: The present invention enables the transfer of data from barcode scanners to computers for use with various software applications. An Active-X plug-in is downloaded to the user's computer the first time they access an application and need to use the scanner to upload information they have scanned using the barcode scanner. The Active-X plug-in aids the transfer and translation of data from the user's computer to the dedicated servers through the application. The Active-X plug-in is compiled code that resides on the user's machine making function calls to system files that interact with the barcode scanner by communicating with the machine's COM ports. Once the Active-X plug-in gathers the data from the scanner, the data can be used by the host application or posted to the Internet via XML.

  • Publication number: 20050029354
Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method for encoding and decoding combination barcodes which contain two or more items of data. Generally, the device encodes a combination barcode by assembling a string of codes associated with each item of data. A barcode is then created from the string of codes by feeding it into a barcode generator. Both one and two-dimensional barcode symbologies may be utilized to create the combination barcode. To decode a combination barcode, a user first scans and uploads the combination barcode to a computer application. The application then identifies the uploaded combination barcodes utilizing a metric and separates the combination barcodes into their constituent parts.

  • Publication number: 20050033599
Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method for creating custom barcoded documents from preexisting lists. A user of the system first selects a list containing the desired products and item codes. Once the list has been selected, the user selects the desired format and layout of the catalog. A program located on the computer then generates the barcoded catalog utilizing the user's selected list and catalog format preferences. The document can then be saved to a file or printed out for ordering use.
