  • Publication number: 20190156816
Abstract: Techniques for automated speech recognition (ASR) are described. A user can upload an audio file to a storage location. The user then provides the ASR service with a reference to the audio file. An ASR engine analyzes the audio file, using an acoustic model to divide the audio data into words, and a language model to identify the words spoken in the audio file. The acoustic model can be trained using audio sentence data, enabling the transcription service to accurately transcribe lengthy audio data. The results are punctuated and normalized, and the resulting transcript is returned to the user.

  • Patent number: 10083160
Abstract: A metadata item may be generated that includes metadata content corresponding to a selected portion of digital content stored on a first device, the metadata item may be associated with a first user profile, and the metadata item may be distributed to a second user device storing the digital content such that the metadata item can be accessed via a second user profile and rendered on the second user device in association with the digital content. In this manner, metadata content corresponding to digital content may be shared across user profiles that access the digital content. In addition, a collaborative content item may be generated that includes collaborative content associated with a word or phrase in digital content and that is editable by multiple user profiles.

  • Patent number: 9951749
Abstract: A system and method for reducing the operational noise of a blunt trailing edge of a wind turbine blade is described. The system involves increasing the trailing edge solid angle at the blade trailing edge by providing a wedge element or projection adjacent the trailing edge of the blade, the wedge element acting to provide improved mixing of the suction side and pressure side flows at the blunt trailing edge, thereby reducing the strength of vortex shedding at the trailing edge and the associated operational noise.

  • Patent number: 9945352
Abstract: A wind turbine blade is described wherein at least on planar member is provided on the blade surface, where the planar member is arranged such that it extends at an angle to the chord of the blade. The planar member acts to re-direct airflow over the blade, to improve wind turbine performance. The planar member may be a stall fence provided towards the blade root end, further acting to divert airflow towards the root end of the blade to prevent separation of attached airflow. Additionally or alternatively, the planar member may be a flow diverter provided towards the blade tip end, to increase airflow in the tip region for increased performance and/or to disrupt the formation of tip vortices.

  • Publication number: 20170356391
Abstract: An improved body defining a restricted fluid flow passage in a fuel supply system for delivering a gaseous fuel to an internal combustion engine. The body is formed for installation between and fluidly connecting a gaseous fuel supply conduit and a gaseous fuel flow passage that defines a predetermined volume between the restricted fluid flow passage and a nozzle chamber of a fuel injector from which the gaseous fuel is injected into the internal combustion engine. The restricted fluid flow passage has the smallest effective flow area between the gaseous fuel supply conduit and the nozzle chamber. The restricted fluid flow passage is located a predetermined distance from an injection valve seal within the fuel injector. The predetermined distance is calculated as a function of the speed of sound in the gaseous fuel and an opened time of the fuel injector.

  • Publication number: 20170270091
Abstract: System and method for processing command line interface (CLI) commands of a CLI-based application, which include a help-like function to expose usage information of the CLI commands, use a database of CLI usage information to search for at least partial match to user query without user input to call the help-like function of CLI commands. As a result, at least one candidate CLI command from the CLI commands that corresponds to the at least partial match is selected and presented on a user interface for user selection to execute a CLI command.

  • Patent number: 9657702
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling the lift of a valve member in a flow control valve comprises an end stop assembly having at least two pieces, a plunger with one end interposed between these pieces and biasing members that urge the pieces into contact with the plunger. The plunger is movable by an actuator to thereby move the pieces of the end stop assembly from a first position in which the pieces of the end stop assembly form a first surface for contacting the valve member to a second position in which the pieces form a second surface that comes into contact with the valve member when the valve member is lifted from its seated position, to thereby allow different discrete lifts of the valve member.

  • Patent number: 9617974
Abstract: A wind turbine blade is described having noise reduction features. The blade has a plurality of projecting serrations provided at the blade trailing edge to reduce the scattering noise produced during operation of the blade, wherein the serrations have a plurality of through-going apertures defined in the serration body. The apertures act to provide a pressure equalization effect at the serrations between the suction and pressure sides. This pressure equalization provides for improved noise reduction performance, as well as a reduction in mechanical stresses and strains which may be experienced by the serrations, increasing serration lifetime.

  • Publication number: 20140301864
Abstract: A wind turbine blade is described having noise reduction features. The blade has a plurality of projecting elements provided at the blade trailing edge to reduce the scattering noise produced during operation of the blade. The blade further comprises a fluid injection system which can inject a fluid into the turbulent airflow at the trailing edge of the blade, to absorb some of the turbulent kinetic energy at the trailing edge and accordingly further reduce the levels of output noise produced by the blade. In a further aspect, the fluid injection system may be adjustable to inject fluid in an upstream direction, i.e. against the oncoming airflow, in order to provide an increased absorption of turbulent kinetic energy from the incident airflow, and accordingly to provide improved noise-reduction characteristics.

  • Patent number: 8300772
Abstract: In one embodiment of the invention, a number of transport protocol streams are established between a signaling session border controller (S-SBC) and a data session border controller (D-SBC). A subset of the number of transport protocol streams are dedicated for carrying messages for emergency calls. Upon receiving an emergency call, the S-SBC transmits an add request message to the D-SBC over one of the streams dedicated for carrying messages for emergency calls. Upon receiving the message over one of the streams dedicated for carrying messages for emergency calls, the D-SBC processes the message with high priority handling.

  • Patent number: 7118092
Abstract: A vane-type throttle valve assembly including a body having a passage therethrough and a pivotable shaft transverse of the passage and supporting a vane for variably restricting the flow of material through the passage. The shaft is disposed in opposing bores in the valve body. Each bore includes an access slot. The valve is assembled by inserting an integrated shaft and vane into the passage, engaging the ends of the shaft into the access slots, and translating the shaft ends in the access slots until the ends of the shaft are positioned in the bores. The shaft is retained in the bores by bushings inserted from outside the valve body. In a currently preferred embodiment, the access slots are formed over an angle from an axis of the bores, and the shaft ends are entered into the bores by rotating the shaft and vane about the passage axis.
