  • Patent number: 11567993
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for processing and executing queries in a data intake and query system. The data intake and query system receives a query identifying a set of data to be processed and a manner of processing the set of data. The data intake and query system identifies buckets that are to be searched and stores a copy of buckets in memory associated with one or more search nodes. A search node performs a search on buckets residing in its memory.

  • Patent number: 11570283
Abstract: A network device may receive, from a first network, a network packet of a first network packet type that encapsulates a fragment of a second network packet of a second network packet type, where the network packet includes an extension header that indicates a source port and a destination port for the second network packet. The network device may perform an anti-spoof check on the fragment of the second network packet based at least in part on at least one of: the source port or the destination port for the second network packet that is indicated by the extension header. • Patent number: 11569982
Abstract: Technologies for compressing a blockchain. In some examples, the technologies include removing selected blocks within a blockchain, and replacing the selected blocks with a summary block and a padding block. Each block of the selected blocks includes data in a certain state (such as data in an obsolete state). The technologies can include generating the summary block and padding blocks according to the data in the selected blocks and an original root hash included in the selected blocks and other blocks of the blockchain. The generating of the summary and padding blocks can include generating a new root hash in the summary and padding blocks that only replaces the original root hash in the summary and padding blocks. The generation of the new root hash can be based on a part of a header of a non-selected block of the blockchain directly linked to an end block of selected blocks.

  • Publication number: 20230025699
Abstract: Techniques that enable a hypervisor to (1) maintain shared memory pages and (2) handle memory accounting for VMs that are suspended to and resumed from the volatile memory of a host system are provided. Regarding (1), the hypervisor can maintain shared memory pages in volatile memory across the suspend-to-memory and resume-from-memory operations, without having to save their reference counts. Regarding (2), the hypervisor can keep track of the volatile memory reserved and consumed by VMs as they are suspended and resumed, without erroneously double counting that memory.

  • Publication number: 20230028800
Abstract: A method and apparatus for applying optimized yaw settings to wind turbines including receiving operating data from at least one wind turbine on a wind farm and sending the data to a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system on the at least one wind turbine to generate current SCADA data. The current SCADA data is sent a central processing center away from the wind farm. The central processing center includes an optimization system that can generate a new look up table (LUT) including at least one new wind turbine yaw setting calculated using information comprising wind direction, wind velocity, wind turbine location in the wind farm, information from a historic SCADA database, and yaw optimizing algorithms. The new LUT is then sent to a yaw setting selection engine (YSSE) where instructions regarding the use of the new LUT are generated.

  • Publication number: 20230027807
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to enabling operation of a field programmable gate array (FPGA) while preventing application quiescence during FPGA reconfiguration. In embodiments of the disclosure, proxy agent firmware may enable downstream transactions (e.g., PCIe transactions) to be serviced during reconfiguration of the FPGA. Programmable logic states (e.g., PCIe configuration states or memory-mapped input/output (MMIO) states) are saved in memory and maintained by the proxy agent (via a management controller running the proxy agent). Once the FPGA is reconfigured, the state may be restored to the FPGA's programmable logic, and the FPGA may operate on the current state of the transactions.

  • Publication number: 20230028100
Abstract: Capacitively isolated current-loaded or current-driven charge pump circuits and related methods transfer electrical energy from a primary side to a secondary side over a capacitive isolation boundary, using a controlled current source to charge isolation capacitors with constant current, as opposed to current impulses, while maintaining output voltage within tolerance. The charge pump circuits provide DC-to-DC converters that can be used in isolated power supplies, particularly in low-power applications and in such devices as sensor transmitters that have separate electrical ground planes. The devices and methods transfer electrical energy over an isolated capacitive barrier in a manner that is efficient, inexpensive, and reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI).

  • Publication number: 20230021653
Abstract: Keyword bids determined from sparse data are described. Initially, a portfolio optimization platform identifies which keywords included in a portfolio of keywords are low-impression keywords. This platform trains a machine learning model to generate bids for the low-impression keywords with historical data from a search engine. In particular, the platform trains this machine learning model according to an algorithm suited for training with sparse amounts of data, e.g., a temporal difference learning algorithm. In contrast, the platform uses different models, trained according to different algorithms than the low-impression keyword model, to generate bids for keywords determined not to be low-impression keywords. Once the low-impression keyword model is trained offline, the platform deploys the model for use online to generate actual bids for the low-impression keywords and submits them to the search engine.

  • Patent number: 11562459
Abstract: A graphics pipeline includes a cache having cache lines that are configured to store data used to process frames in a graphics pipeline. The graphics pipeline is implemented using a processor that processes frames for the graphics pipeline using data stored in the cache. The processor processes a first frame and writes back a dirty cache line from the cache to a memory concurrently with processing of the first frame. The dirty cache line is retained in the cache and marked as clean subsequent to being written back to the memory. In some cases, the processor generates a hint that indicates a priority for writing back the dirty cache line based on a read command occupancy at a system memory controller.

  • Patent number: 11563078
Abstract: Ultra-compact inductor devices for use in integrated circuits (e.g., RF ICs) that use 3-dimensional Dirac materials for providing the inductor. Whereas inductors currently require significant real estate on an integrated circuit, because they require use of an electrically conductive winding around an insulative core, or such metal deposited in a spiral geometry, the present devices can be far more compact, occupying significantly less space on an integrated circuit. For example, an ultra-compact inductor that could be included in an integrated circuit may include a 3-dimensional Dirac material formed into a geometric shape capable of inductance (e.g., as simple as a stripe or series of stripes of such material), deposited on a substantially non-conductive (i.e., insulative) substrate, on which the Dirac material in the selected geometric shape is positioned. Low temperature manufacturing methods compatible with CMOS manufacturing are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11561187
Abstract: An in vitro method for detecting presence of cancer includes obtaining a single hair sample. An x-ray beam is emitted from a source towards the hair sample. A small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) intensity profile is generated after the x-ray beam hits the hair sample. The SAXS profile is received on a detector to obtain SAXS data, which is desmeared and Kratky Analysis is performed. A relative estimation of peak area under 1.38 nm?1 to 0.89 nm?1 from keratin and lipid content in the hair sample is performed to obtain R and is corrected by dividing by D, thickness of the hair. R? is computed using formula: 10×R2/(D?R). The value of R? is compared with clinically validated samples. If R? value is below 0.7, it indicates the presence of cancer and if it is above 0.8, it indicates absence of cancer.
