  • Patent number: 11190606
Abstract: A switching device is enabled to automatically perform one or more actions based on one or more notifications received thereby. A notification may be received by a device communicatively coupled to the switching device, or alternatively, may be internally-generated. Upon receiving the notification, the switching device utilizes a notification-to-action mapping to determine which action(s) are to be performed based on the notification received. The action(s) include automatically switching the switching device to a device coupled to a port thereof and/or automatically launching an application executing on that device in order to view the notification and/or content associated with the notification. In other example, the action(s) may include sending the notification to another device, such as a user's mobile phone and/or causing an application executing on the mobile phone to be launched in order to view the notification and/or content associated with the notification.

  • Patent number: 11190465
Abstract: An aspect of the present disclosure facilitates processing of natural language (NL) messages. In one embodiment, upon receiving a NL message from a user directed to a chatbot operational in a digital processing system, a data set pertinent for responding to the NL message is formed. An interactive widget that facilitates examination of the formed data set in different views is constructed and sent for display as a response to the NL message. Accordingly, when the interactive widget is displayed (on a display unit), the user is facilitated to examine the data set (pertinent to the NL message) in different views by interacting with the interactive widget.

  • Patent number: 11189114
Abstract: Ambient conditions in which a marine vessel is to travel along a path are determined. Power settings for the marine vessel to travel along the path are determined based on the ambient conditions to direct the marine vessel to travel along a planned trajectory toward a designated location. Movement of the marine vessel is monitored while using the power settings and a discrepancy between movement of the marine vessel and the planned trajectory is identified. The power settings are automatically modified based on the discrepancy. Movement of the marine vessel then controlled according to the modified power settings.

  • Patent number: 11188918
Abstract: Systems and methods for expediting math-based currency (“MBC”) transactions are described. A financial institution facilitates the expedited MBC transactions. The expedited MBC transactions are achieved by providing merchants with a customer score for a customer that is paying for goods or services with MBC. The customer score is based at least in part on prior MBC transactions entered into by the customer. In some arrangements, the customer score is also based on balance information and transaction information associated with accounts maintained with the financial institution.

  • Patent number: 11184402
Abstract: A method trains a neural network to recognize whether a resource is authorized to be returned to a requester. One or more processors train a neural network to traverse a policy enforcement hypergraph in order to identify a security policy to be used for a resource request and to authorize a use of a requested resource by a requester. The policy enforcement hypergraph is derived from a policy enforcement graph that expresses a set of security profiles for resources and requesters. The processor(s) receive a resource request for a requested resource from a requester, where the resource request includes a description of the requester. A system/user inputs a description of the received resource request and a description of the policy enforcement hypergraph into the trained neural network in order to selectively return the requested resource to the requester.

  • Patent number: 11184423
Abstract: Techniques are described herein that are capable of offloading upload processing of a file in a distributed system. A request is received from a requestor to upload a file to a transactional database of a DBMS. Information regarding the requestor and/or the file is extracted from the request. A determination is made that the file is to be uploaded to a non-indexing file storage system in lieu of the transactional database based at least in part on the extracted information satisfying one or more criteria. A key that includes a hash is generated. The hash is created using attribute(s) of the requestor and/or the file from the extracted information. The key is provided to the requestor. The key and at least a portion of the file are received from the requestor. Uploading of the file to the non-indexing file storage system in lieu of the transactional database is initiated.

  • Patent number: 11184304
Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for presenting augmented reality (AR) experiences and/or sharing AR objects are provided. For example, a request to initiate an AR experience may be received from a device associated with an email account. A real time view of a camera of the device may be displayed using an AR interface, where a set of AR objects are overlaid onto the real time view of the camera. An edited set of AR objects may be generated based upon one or more inputs corresponding to one or more edits to the set of AR objects. The edited set of AR objects may be overlaid onto the real time view of the camera. An email comprising the edited set of AR objects may be transmitted to one or more email accounts responsive to receiving a second request to share the edited set of AR objects.

  • Patent number: 11183095
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices that support a dynamic screen refresh rate are described. An electronic device may dynamically (e.g., autonomously, while operating) adjust the rate at which a screen is refreshed, such as to balance considerations such as user experience and power consumption by the electronic device. For example, the electronic device may use an increased refresh rate when executing applications for which user experience is enhanced by a higher refresh rate and may use a decreased refresh rate when executing other applications. As another example, the electronic device may use different refresh rates while executing different portions of the same application, as some aspects of an application (e.g., more intense portions of a video game) may benefit more than others from a higher refresh rate. The electronic device may also account of rother factors, such as battery level, when setting or adjusting the refresh rate of the screen.

  • Patent number: 11182147
Abstract: A desired image of a virtualization software is deployed in hosts that are located in a remote data center which is connected to a central data center over a first network having a lower bandwidth than that of a second network over which the hosts in the remote data center communicate with each other. The method of deploying the virtualization software in the hosts includes: upgrading the virtualization software in a first host of the plurality of hosts using portions of the desired image that are transmitted from the central data center to the remote data center over the first network; and upgrading the virtualization software in a second host of the plurality of hosts using portions of the desired image that are transmitted from the first host to the second host over the second network, without retransmitting the portions from the central data center to the remote data center.

  • Patent number: 11184355
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to preventing unauthorized access to secured information systems. A computing platform may receive, from an end user desktop computing device, a request to login to a user account associated with a user account portal. In response to receiving the request, the computing platform may generate an authentication token in an authentication database and may send a notification to at least one registered device linked to the user account. After sending the notification, the computing platform may receive, from the at least one registered device, an authentication response message. If the authentication response message indicates that valid authentication input was received, the computing platform may update the authentication token to indicate that the request to login to the user account has been approved. After updating the authentication token, the computing platform may provide, to the end user desktop computing device, access to a portal interface.

  • Patent number: 11182212
Abstract: Data of a vector storage request pertaining to one or more disjoint, non-adjacent, and/or non-contiguous logical identifier ranges are stored contiguously within a log on a non-volatile storage medium. A request consolidation module modifies one or more sub-requests of the vector storage request in response to other, cached storage requests. Data of an atomic vector storage request may comprise persistent indicators, such as persistent metadata flags, to identify data pertaining to incomplete atomic storage requests. A restart recovery module identifies and excludes data of incomplete atomic operations.
