Systems and methods for monitoring data synchronization progress in a multi-hop data recovery system
Patent number: 10592160Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method for monitoring data synchronization progress in a multi-hop data recovery system may include (i) calculating a number of data blocks to be synchronized, (ii) setting each element of a synchronization data structure to dirty, (iii) determining a dirty bytes counter, (iv) transmitting a portion of the data blocks to be synchronized, (v) receiving an acknowledgement corresponding to the transmitted portion of the data blocks, (vi) setting a set of elements within the synchronization data structure corresponding to the transmitted portion of the data blocks to clean, (vii) determining a pending dirty bytes counter that indicates a current number of elements within the synchronization data structure that are set to dirty, and (viii) transmitting the dirty bytes counter and the pending dirty bytes counter. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 2018Date of Patent: March 17, 2020Assignee: Veritas Technologies LLCInventors: Anish Vaidya, Sunil Hasbe, Om Prakash Agarwal, Rushikesh Patil, Ashit Kumar, Venkata Sreenivasa Rao Nagineni -
Patent number: 10157130Abstract: Systems, methods and a computer program product the differential storage and eviction for information resources from a browser cache. In an embodiment, the present invention provides differential storage and eviction for information resources by storing fetched resources in a memory and assigning, with a processor, a persistence score to the resources. Further embodiments relocate the resources from a sub-cache to a different sub-cache based on their persistence score, and remove the resource from the memory based on the persistence score.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 2014Date of Patent: December 18, 2018Assignee: Google LLCInventors: Jim Roskind, Jose Ricardo Vargas Puentes, Ashit Kumar Jain, Evan Martin

Publication number: 20110083122Abstract: An automated system is provided to support massive scale grid of machines in a rapid, multi-developer coding environment. The system has virtual testing environments that are created from template machines, supporting various software versions for various code branches. The grid is built by having a small subset of template machines (e.g. with Oracle 9g, 10g, and application server installations), images of the template machines, virtual machine instances created by applying one or more of the image templates, which then are used by the virtual testing environment. Upon receipt of code changes, changes are checked-out, compiled, tested on various test feeds on a virtual testing environment, which is destroyed and re-created after every test run. Any software version upgrades or bug fixes need to be applied only to the template machines. The number of virtual machines associated with any particular template machine is dynamically configurable to provision for optimal use of testing machines.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 5, 2010Publication date: April 7, 2011Applicant: salesforce.com, inc.Inventors: Jih-Yin Chen, Ashit Kumar Jain, Chris Chen, John Akerley, Mohit Chawla, Aaron Arruda, Cheng Leong, Bala Subramanian

Patent number: 7777436Abstract: A system for controlling a trapezoidally (square wave) driven DC motor includes a unipolar commutation circuit coupled between a DC power supply and a brushless DC motor. The motor has three phases formed by respective stator windings coupled at respective proximal ends to a common node and having respective opposite ends remote from the common node. The commutation circuit drives the motor according to a commutation cycle including three primary steps. During each primary step, one of the phases is driven while the other two phases are not driven. Voltages at the remote ends of the undriven phases are sensed, and timing signals are generated at points where the voltages coincide. The timing signals are used to determine motor position and speed, and to synchronize the commutation cycle with motor position and speed. In one embodiment, the commutation cycle includes transitional steps between the primary steps for smoother operation.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2008Date of Patent: August 17, 2010Assignee: The Bergquist Torrington CompanyInventors: Robert G. Brown, Ashit Kumar Das
