  • Patent number: 8792403
Abstract: Disclosed are a method, system and protocol for processing a Transmission within a wireless network, the network including at least one device that transmits the Transmission and at least one device that receives the Transmission. The method provides for receiving the Transmission at the device that receives the Transmission; determining whether the device that receives the Transmission has previously received the Transmission; and actioning the received Transmission only if the device that receives the transmission has not previously received the Transmission.

  • Patent number: 8724614
Abstract: A communications system and protocol for a radio communications network including a number of transceiver devices. The protocol ensures that network variables to be shared by all devices are correctly received and updated by all devices. The protocol also provides for accurately detecting the transition from one time slot to another, in a given data transaction. The protocol utilizes a method of providing a marker in a data time frame for use such as marking the end of a variable slot in a data frame. The method includes encoding data into states, and then generating a marker that is an illegal combination of states in the encoding scheme.

  • Patent number: 8606279
Abstract: A radio frequency communications network system and protocol for allowing the dissemination of data to be shared by devices within a network. The invention is particularly useful when the devices are out of transmission range of each other. The network includes repeater devices located between the devices to manage a data transfer in the network. The invention also provides for data transfer management in the presence of collisions between conflicting data transmissions.

  • Patent number: 8395328
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for controlling a plurality of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). A communications protocol is also provided, which comprises a START code, a first Command packet and at least one subsequent Command packet. An LED driver receives a signal according to the protocol, and separates the first Command packet from the signal and controls an LED associated with the LED driver in accordance with instructions in the first Command packet. The LED driver then outputs the remaining signal for use by one or more subsequent LED drivers.

  • Publication number: 20110194476
Abstract: Disclosed are a method, system and apparatus for use in a network of devices which can facilitate the installation of the network. In a network consisting of multiple devices, it is often necessary to use repeaters to relay communications between two or more devices that are out of range of each other. The various aspects of the present invention provide for one or more of the devices to be selectively switched to operate as a repeater.

  • Patent number: 7656793
Abstract: A communications system and protocol for use in a non-dominant bit radio network. The radio network includes transceivers which communicate with other transceivers to allow network variables to be shared by all transceivers. The protocol allows the network to handle collisions between competing transmissions from different transceivers. The protocol also handles communications between transceivers that are out of transmitting range of each other.
