  • Patent number: 11496802
Abstract: A media stream is delivered to a searcher by identifying a desirable emotional state for the searcher; identifying a current emotional state of the searcher; and estimating a target emotional trajectory that begins with the current emotional state and concludes with the desirable emotional state. Then the target emotional trajectory is matched to an aggregate emotional trajectory of the media stream; the media stream is recommended to the searcher in response to the matching; and a bit stream of the media stream is rendered to the searcher in response to the searcher's acceptance of the recommendation.

  • Patent number: 11443008
Abstract: Controlling contents of interfaces may include receiving multiple interfaces presented on a display screen. The multiple interfaces may include at least one primary task interface and each of the multiple interfaces may present at least one content item. A user engagement level with respect to content items presented via the multiple interfaces may be estimated. A degree of user effectiveness with respect to progression toward completing a primary task presented via the primary task interface may be determined. A content item may be selected from the multiple interfaces based on the user engagement level and the degree of user effectiveness. A presentation of the selected content item may be made in a controlled manner on an unused portion of at least one of the multiple interfaces.

  • Patent number: 11271752
Abstract: One or more application forms can be hosted, which application forms are received from a service provider, the service provider having been authenticated by at least one data custodian of a set of data custodians. One or more application forms include at least form fields to be populated with information. A user selection of an application form to be automatically populated can be received, the user having been authenticated by at least one data custodian of the set of data custodians. Data request is sent to at least one data custodian of the set of data custodians for automatically populating at least some of the form fields. Received data from said at least one data custodian can be collated and used to populate one or more form fields. The populated form fields can be returned to the service provider, for instance, provided a minimum requirement is met.

  • Patent number: 10993417
Abstract: Sensor data captured over time and associated with a plurality of livestock animals can be analyzed to determine health conditions associated with a plurality of livestock animals and to determine interactions of the livestock animals. The interactions specify at least distances between the livestock animals, duration of the distances, and frequency of the interactions. A health graph network is constructed, which includes nodes and edges, a node in the nodes representing a livestock animal and specifying at least a health condition of the represented livestock animal, an edge connecting at least two of the nodes and representing an interaction between at least two animals represented by said at least two of the nodes. Based on the health graph network, a potential outbreak among a subgroup of the livestock animals can be predicted.

  • Patent number: 10768780
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of controlling a computer system is provided. In particular, the method relates to controlling of a touchscreen of the computer system in order to display contextually relevant user interface objects on a graphical display of the touchscreen. The computer system includes a processor and the touchscreen includes a touch sensor as an input device. The method includes determining, by way of a user context determination module, a user context of at least one user of the computer system, selecting, using an icon selection module, one or more user interface objects which are contextually relevant to the determined context of the user, and displaying, using the graphical display of the touchscreen, the one or more user interface objects selected by the icon selection module. Determining the user's context may include monitoring the user's behavior, mood or cognitive state.

  • Publication number: 20200160331
Abstract: A method 30 and system 10 for facilitating safe handling of a physical medium of financial exchange, such as cash notes is provided to prevent cash-in-transit heists. The method 30 includes physically marking 33, using a first processing device 8, cash with a unique owner identifier which is associated with the owner of the cash, and physically invalidating 34 the cash through cutting, staining or stamping it. Once invalidated, the worthless cash can be transported risk-free to a desired cash processing facility. Upon arrival, the method includes verifying 44, using an authentication module 24, authenticity of the unique owner identifier and cash notes themselves. If verification fails, law enforcement is notified. If passed, the cash is destroyed 38, using a second processing device 9 which digitizes, using a digitizer 22, the cash notes and transfers a digital equivalent value, which is credited to the owner's account, to an electronic record keeping system 12.

  • Publication number: 20200110794
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for emoji modification, as well as a corresponding system and a corresponding computer program product, are disclosed. An intended meaning associated with an emoji, which has been selected by a sender for transmission to a receiver, is established. An interpretation of the emoji by the receiver is predicted. The established intended meaning is compared with the predicted interpretation and the comparison is used to determine whether emoji modification is required. In response to determining that emoji modification is required, at least one aspect of the emoji is modified better to align the intended meaning of the sender with the predicted interpretation of the emoji by the receiver.
